毛澤東與劉少奇的關係一直為人所注目，但卻因為黨內鬥爭（高饒事件）和文革的因素蒙上許多虛虛實實、似是而非的說法。本論文將以1949～1954年的毛劉關係為中心，上溯毛劉關係的緣起，中間經過中共建政後毛澤東與劉少奇對於建國、治國策略的歧異，下至經過「高饒事件」後的轉折，重新審視這段時期毛劉關係的本質，以及對中共高層政治的影響。
