Construcción de un framework que facilite la implementación de VSE, según la norma ISO/IEC 29110Fabián Germán, Cristian Manuel January 2015 (has links)
La mejora de una organización, depende básicamente de la forma en cómo hayan sido implementados los procesos y la definición correcta de los mismos, los cuales deben estar alineados a los intereses de la organización, además de ser adoptados y acogidos por las personas que las ejecutan de manera correcta. Sin embargo para llegar a cumplir con el enunciado antes citado se requiere de una serie de pasos, los cuales se convierten en una receta para lograr los objetivos deseados; el desconocimiento de estos pasos o receta son principalmente los que se convierten en trabas para que las pequeñas organizaciones no logren sus objetivos de cumplir con los estándares indicados por los modelos de procesos orientados a la calidad. El estudio propone un framework o marco de trabajo que facilite la implementación del modelo de proceso VSEs (de sus siglas en ingles Very Small Entity), según lo indicado en la norma ISO /IEC TR 29110-5-1-2. Mediante la utilización de framework, la idea principal es facilitar la adopción de la norma en las pequeñas organizaciones, con soporte guiado paso a paso para su implementación y proceso de evaluación. Su viabilidad queda demostrada con su puesta en práctica en algunos proyectos orientados a desarrollo de software. Para la elaboración del framework propuesto se ha tomado como referencia a varias herramientas como: i) Meycor CobiT, el cual es una completa herramienta integral e intuitiva para la implementación del marco CobiT, para la Gobernanza, la Gestión de riesgos tecnológicos, la Seguridad, el Control Interno, y el Aseguramiento de la TI, basado en COBIT ii) CMMI-Quest, esta herramienta permite efectuar evaluaciones de acuerdo al modelo CMMI-SE/SW en su representación continua. La evaluación se limita a asignar valores a los objetivos, no permite evaluaciones a nivel de prácticas (por debajo del nivel de los objetivos). No brinda soporte para el método SCAMPI. iii) IME Toolkit, esta herramienta permite efectuar evaluaciones de acuerdo al modelo CMMI SE/SW. Las evaluaciones consisten en asignar valores numéricos a las prácticas, en base a los cuales la herramienta genera puntuaciones (scores) para cada área de proceso. No brinda soporte para el método SCAMPI. No posee guías de asistencia para la evaluación. Además de estas herramientas de software, se ha investigado como parte integral del estudio, algunas de las normas ISO relacionadas, tales como la: i) NTPISO/ IEC 9126-2: Calidad del producto. ii) ISO 12207, Ciclo de vida del Software iii) ISO 15504, Evaluación de procesos. / --- The improvement of an organization depends essentially as how processes have been implemented and the correct definition of them, which must be aligned with the interests of the organization, besides being adopted and embraced by the people who run correctly. However to get to meet the aforementioned statement requires a series of steps, which becomes a recipe for achieving the desired objectives; ignorance of these steps or drugs are mainly those who agree obstacles for small organizations do not achieve their objectives to meet the standards established by process models oriented to quality. The study proposes a framework that facilitates the implementation process model VSE, as indicated in ISO / IEC TR 29110-5-1-2 standard. Using the framework, the main idea is to facilitate the addition of the rule on small organizations, with support guided step by step for implementation and evaluation process. Its feasibility is demonstrated by its implementation in some projects to develop software. For developing the proposed framework is taken as a reference to several framework as: i) Meycor CobiT, which is a complete comprehensive and intuitive tool for implementing the CobiT framework for Governance, Management technological risks, Security, Internal Control and Assurance IT, based on COBIT ii) CMMI-Quest, this tool allows for assessments according to CMMI-SE / SW in the continuous representation. The assessment is limited to assign values to the objectives, does not allow practical level assessments (below the level of the targets). It does not provide support for the SCAMPI method. iii) IME Toolkit, this tool allows for assessments according to CMMI-SE / SW. Evaluations include assigning numerical values to practices, based on which the tool generates scores (scores) for each process area. It does not provide support for the SCAMPI method. No assistance has guides for evaluation. In addition to these software tools, has been investigated as an integral part of the study, some of the ISO standards related, such as: i) ISO / IEC 9126-2: Quality of product. ii) ISO 12207, Software Lifecycle iii) ISO 15504, process evaluation.

A Framework for Measuring Privacy Risks of YouTubeCalero, Vanessa January 2020 (has links)
While privacy risks associated with known social networks such as Facebook and Instagram
are well studied, there is a limited investigation of privacy risks of YouTube
videos, which are mainly uploaded by teenagers and young adults, called YouTubers.
This research aims on quantifying the privacy risks of videos when sensitive
information about the private life of a YouTuber is being shared publicly. We developed
a privacy metric for YouTube videos called Privacy Exposure Index (PEI) extending
the existing social networking privacy frameworks. To understand the factors
moderating privacy behaviour of YouTubers, we conducted an extensive survey
of about 100 YouTubers. We have also investigated how YouTube Subscribers and
Viewers may desire to influence the privacy exposure of YouTubers through interactive
commenting on Videos or using other parallels YouTubers’ social networking
channels. For this purpose, we conducted a second survey of about 2000 viewers.
The results of these surveys demonstrate that YouTubers are concerned about their
privacy. Nevertheless inconsistent to this concern they exhibit privacy exposing behaviour
on their videos. In addition, we found YouTubers are being encouraged by
their audience to continue disclosing more personal information on new contents.
Finally, we empirically evaluated the soundness, consistency and applicability of
PEI by analyzing 100 videos uploaded by 10 YouTubers over a period of two years. / Thesis / Master of Science (MSc) / This research aims on quantifying the privacy risks of videos when sensitive

The diploma thesis compares first and second version of the PHP framework Zend Framework. It examines framework architecture and technology changes that were brought about by its second version released stable in September 2012. It demonstrates the changes using a practical example application and evaluates them by a set of diverse criteria. The introductory part of the thesis characterizes and classifies web frameworks and determines their place among other software frameworks. In the subsequent part the thesis looks into fundamental characteristics and history of Zend Framework and puts it into its place among web frameworks based on their previous classification. The practical part, that represents the majority of thesis, demonstrates the differences between the first and the second version of Zend Framework using the example application, starting with framework installation and configuration, describing its architecture and ending with evaluation of its speed and security.

Applying the New Zealand Performance Based Design Fire Framework to Buildings Designed in Accordance with NFPA5000Yip, Chin Hung (Marco) January 2011 (has links)
A framework for performance based fire design is in the process of being developed by the Department of Building and Housing and such a framework may become a compulsory methodology for performance based fire design in the future. The framework has been developed with the intention of providing a similar level of safety to a building as if the building is designed in accordance with the New Zealand compliance document C/AS1. Ten design fire scenarios have been included in the framework to ensure buildings will be challenged. Design fires for particular building uses, tenability criteria for occupant safety, detector criteria to determine detection time and pre-movement time for egress calculation have been specified in the framework.
In order to provide a comparison of the framework against the international building code, three complex case studies have been applied to buildings designed in accordance with NFPA5000 and investigated using the input values and methodologies described in the framework. The case study buildings selected are a retail warehouse, a hospital and a shopping mall. The selection of the buildings was based on complexity of building layout, likelihood of rapid fire growth and high occupancy.
Zone modelling (BRANZFIRE modelling) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (Fire Dynamic Simulation modelling) have been utilised in an Available Safe Egress Time (ASET) and Required Safe Egress Time (RSET) analysis. Results of the research showed that the framework provided a robust and consistent method for performance based fire design and the guidance provided in the framework gave a clear methodology to determine the ASET and the RSET. In additional, the framework provided an even more restrictive requirement than the prescriptive requirement in the NFPA5000 in relation to external walls fire resistance and mezzanine floor fire resistance. Conversely, it provided a too relaxed requirement than the prescriptive requirement in the NFPA5000 in relation to means of egress and fire/smoke compartmentation.

Previous attempts at implementing bots for the classic roguelike game NetHack have been hindered by many problems related to its complexity and console-based interface. The framework implemented as part of this work solves the problem of interfacing with the game and provides a programmer-friendly API for the Java and Clojure programming languages. It enables programming sophisticated bots using the provided model of the game world, a library of possible actions and utilities for various aspects of the game. The framework uses elements of functional and logic programming and doesn't require modifications of the game. An Exploration of the Factors Influencing the Adoption of an IS Governance FrameworkParker, Sharon Laureen 01 January 2013 (has links)
This research explored IT governance framework adoption, leveraging established IS theories. It applied both the technology acceptance model (TAM) and the technology, organization, environment (TOE) models. The study consisted of developing a model utilizing TOE and TAM, deriving relevant hypotheses. Interviews with a group of practitioners piloted a four-page Web-based survey, which was then deployed to large groups via social media and email.
Statistical analysis approaches included SPSS, Excel, and the primary tool SmartPLS, which leverages the second generation statistical approaches of structural equation modeling - partial least squares (SEM-PLS). This path modeling technique measured the relationships between the independent and dependent latent variables of the research model.
The results illustrated the strength of the model. The relevance of the core TAM model was validated. Hypotheses pertaining to the impact of perceived usefulness on intent were strongly supported. The aspect of ease of use was also supported. Hence, TAM was confirmed as an appropriate theory to provide insight into the adoption of IT governance frameworks. The study also found that organizational norms and support had a significant relationship with intent to adopt. The hypotheses that TOE factors influenced adoption were not strongly supported in this study. These aspects may nevertheless prove more material in a broader and less homogenous population.
The other finding was that organizations had implemented tailored frameworks, not a single standard framework. The majority had established governance in some areas, although not throughout, while very few indicated that there was none in place.
