Ambulantní monitor srdečního rytmu / Ambulant Cardiac Monitor

This thesis describes the design and practical realization of a prototype mobile, battery-powered device that is able to periodically recording electrocardiogram and fotopletysmogram or blood pressure. Data from these periodic scanning is processed by microcontroller and stored on a memory card which is part of the proposed device. The device can be connected to a PC via USB like a virtual serial port.

Systém pro přesné měření elektrické délky koaxiálních kabelů / System for Precise Measurement of Electrical Length of Coaxial Cables

This thesis describes a study of the measuring methods determining the electrical length of coaxial cable without using a vector network analyzer. First, a general theory of management and its various parameters is briefly discussed. This section is focused more specifically on the coaxial cable and its parameters. The next part is graphically analyzed process considerations in the design of measurement methods and outlined the block structure of the system. The third section describes the working process, prototype testing of the bridge, its measurement and design of the measuring system. In the fourth part the software is described. In conclusion, the results of the work are discussed, accuracy of the measurement system, the obtained parameters chosen with regard to the principle of the measurement system and the overall evaluation of the applicability in practice.

The goal of this master's thesis is to design a robot Trilobot controller using a FITkit platform. It describes sensors and actuators widely used in mobile robotics. Part of the thesis is aimed to analyze in detail current Trilobot's peripherals, their conections and ways of communication. A circuit diagram of designed electronics is completed by the PCB design and description of small changes of the current Trilobot. The thesis also contains implementation of utility HW in the FPGA and a software library for a microcontroller. The finished control unit is tested by sort of demonstration applications.

Diplomová práce obsahuje stručný teoretický základ pro designéra/ku A/D převodníku v technologii CMOS a přehled architektur A/D převodníků používaných v automobilovém průmyslu. Volba vhodné architektury pro konkrétní aplikaci byla zásadním úkolem zpra- covaným v semestrálním projektu předcházejícím tuto práci a je rovněž součástí této práce. Analýza v Matlabu, ze které by mělo vyplynout, je-li třeba zahrnout do architek- tury podblok Sample and Hold, je také součástí práce. Klíčovou částí práce je dokumen- tace návrhu jednotlivých podbloků A/D převodníku – operačního zesilovače, kompará- toru a R-2R D/A převodníku – a ověření jejich funkčnosti. V závěru práce je ověřena funkčnost A/D převodníku jako celku.

Efektivní generátor náhodných čísel v nízko-výkonových zařízení / Effective random number generator for limited devices

This thesis solves the problem of generating random numbers on low-power devices. Author describes possible ways of generating and implements selected generators of (pseudo)random numbers on MSP430F5438A. 4 generators were added by the enhancement of one of them and a new generator was created, using the phenomenon of temperature change in the surroundings. For each generator, test sequences were generated and these sequences were tested by the Dieharder, STS-NIST, and Visual Test. The output of the thesis is the functional implementation of the generators, their testing by statistical methods and their comparison between each other.

Cilj istraživanja<br />doktorske disertacije je formulisanje merne metode i na metodi<br />baziranom hardveru - po mogućnosti minimalne rezolucije<br />primenjenih A/D konvertora - praktično dvobitnih za merenje<br />harmonika u realnoj elektrodistributivnoj mreži. Jednostavan<br />hardver omogućuje jednostavna paralelna merenja, kao i mali broj<br />izvora sistematske greške merenja, što je vrlo primenljivo u<br />merenjima u realnoj distributivnoj mreži.Simulacionom analizom, a<br />potom i eksperimentom potvrđena je hipoteza istraživanja.</p> / <p>The dissertation shows the theoretical and practical research related to the<br />determination of necessary and sufficient conditions for the measurement of<br />harmonics in a real power grid. This Master’s thesis solves a design and construction of device for gathering and transfer of data into computer. The device should replace graph plotter, by which is measured the optical intensity of a laser beam. From this characteristic it is possible to determine other parameters of the laser beam, such as halfwidth of the beam, angle of divergence and Rayleigh length. The described device - “data gatherer” - measures two voltage values – voltage detected on photodiode and voltage detected on distance moved by photodiode. Measured values of voltage are processed and sent through a serial line into the computer. A pre-amplifier is connected to the control part for both channels of measured values with possibility of amplification. Computer application, which performs graphic interpretation of the measured values, serves as user control peripheral. The product of this project is compact device operating under OS Windows with graphic output.

Hardware problems are analyzed too. Concrete solution is system which is able to boot from the USB disc and it is based on OpenWrt distribution running on Edimax BR-6104KP router. The whole solution is described the way which can lead to any general embedded system.

This Master`s thesis concern with problematic of connection analog sensors with voltage output 0-10V to a ethernet communication network. Due to a quick evolution and an application ethernet nets to industry and building technologies is possible to use this solution for connection remote diagnostics and setting of existing analog sensors without bus communication interfaces on instrumentation level of field bus networks. The converter is based on Rabbit module, which can be used like webserver for setting, calibration and data recording. For purpose of wide converter use the data output will be purvey on ethernet interface by Modbus TCP and on asynchronous serial interface RS232. First part of thesis is aimed on description of existing solutions and introduction with principles of linearization and calibration of A/D converters. Description of communication standard Modbus TCP widely used in industry applications. Second part of thesis describes design a realization of project. Here is described equipment block diagram with detail description of each block and devices used. In the part of implementation is description of device firmware with program function description and control. Last part is engage with module function verification supported with plantz of measurements and tests. The thesis is ended with evaluation results, knowledge and detections found out in development of project.
