The magazine The Order was one the most important vehicles of disclosure of conservation s mind, in its pages was enrolled part of catholic anticommunist s genesis in Brazil, subsiding the construction, rework and dynamism of stereotypes and archetypes about the Church s enemies, in the midst of that, the communism has seen as the most danger of the civilization and the irreconcilable enemy of the Church . The questions in this dissertation search the source of the Catholic s anticommunism in Brazil, among the historic context of its appearance, in the matrixes of conservation s mind, the Catholic s Church position and politician atmosphere in 1930. The limits dates for studying about the magazines articles are placed in the interregnum from 1930, the year which the anticommunist s articles have began to earn space in the magazine, to 1937, the age which is possible to perceive an important change in the ideological directress of the majority of the writers of The Order , under influence of the Humanitarian s Democracy , which was proposal for French s Philosopher Jacques Maritain / A presente Dissertação tem como objetivo analisar as bases do anticomunismo católico brasileiro, em um de seus períodos de maior recrudescimento: a terceira década do século XX, utilizando como principal fonte a revista A Ordem, fundada em 1921 e que representou um marco na aglutinação de uma elite intelectual católica laica, a partir de Jackson de Figueiredo e do Centro Dom Vital. A revista A Ordem foi um dos principais veículos de divulgação do pensamento conservador, em suas páginas inscreveu-se parte da gênese do anticomunismo católico no Brasil, subsidiando a construção, reelaboração e dinamização de estereótipos e arquétipos sobre os inimigos da Igreja, dentre os quais o comunismo era visto como o maior perigo da civilização e como inimigo irreconciliável da Igreja . As questões que norteiam esta dissertação buscam as origens do anticomunismo católico no Brasil em meio ao contexto histórico de seu surgimento, nas matrizes do pensamento conservador, na posição da Igreja Católica e na atmosfera política dos anos de 1930. As datas limites para o estudo dos artigos da revista situam-se no interregno de 1930, ano em que os artigos anticomunistas começam a ganhar espaço na revista, a 1937, época na qual é possível perceber uma mudança na diretriz ideológica de grande parte dos articulistas de A Ordem, sob a influência do princípio de Democracia Humanitária proposta pelo filósofo francês Jacques Maritain
