Развитие теоретико-методических основ учета и аудита финансовых результатов организации : магистерская диссертация / Development of theoretical and methodical bases of accounting and audit of financial results of the organizationМитюшева, К. Н., Mityusheva, K. N. January 2019 (has links)
In Russian modern economic theory, there are many different opinions on the definition of "financial result". Some of them are similar, some are different. All this is due to the versatility of the category under study. But we believe that in the accounting system of the category "income", "expenses" and "financial result" in the Russian accounting system are clearly linked: the financial result is defined as the difference between income and expenses of an economic entity. For commercial organizations, it is proposed to detail information on income and expenses for ordinary activities in the areas of activity. These innovations will generally meet the requirements of the PBU in relation to the disclosure of information in the accounting (financial) statements of organizations. The proposed accounting register, developed on the basis of the results of the analysis on the basis of structured working plans of accounts for the accounting of income and expenses for ordinary activities, in our opinion, will improve the quality of accounting and analytical work, will improve the validity of management decisions, the effectiveness of the organization as a whole.

The overall purpose of this study is to establish
whether auditors in South Africa also fail to issue the appropriate audit
opinion on the going concern assumption underlying financial statements
the reasons for auditors' failure to issue the appropriate audit opinion on
the going concern assumption
The hypotheses of this study are tested by
examining professional auditing standards and secondary data on the
going concern assumption
conducting an empirical study of listed industrial compames whose
listings were terminated because of financial failure
This study
provides evidence that auditors in South Africa fail to Issue the
appropriate audit opinion on the going concern assumption
advances specific reasons for this failure / Auditing / M. Comm. (Auditing)

Detecting financial reporting fraud : the impact and implications of management motivations for external auditors : evidence from the Egyptian contextKassem, Rasha January 2016 (has links)
Financial reporting fraud is a concern for investors, regulators, external auditors, and the public. Although the responsibility for fraud detection lies upon management and those charged with governance, external auditors are likely to come under scrutiny if fraud scandals come to light. Despite the audit regulators efforts in fighting fraud, evidence from prior literature revealed that external auditors still need guidance in assessing and responding to fraud risks. Hence the current study aims at helping external auditors properly assess and respond to the risk of financial reporting fraud in an effort to increase the likelihood of detecting it. In order to achieve this, the current study sought to explore the significance of various fraud factors in assessing the risks of financial reporting fraud and examined how external auditors could assess these fraud factors. The current study also explored the likely motivations behind management fraud, the impact of management motivations on the financial statements, and how external auditors could assess the impact of management motivations. The data for the current study was collected from external auditors working at various audit firms in Egypt via the use of mixed research methods, namely through an online questionnaire and semi-structured interviews. The findings of the current study revealed that management motives are the most significant factor in assessing the risk of financial reporting fraud. Hence the current study suggests that external audit should be viewed in terms of management motivations rather than just the audit of financial statements figures and disclosures. The current study offers detailed guidance to external auditors in this area. The findings of the current study also revealed that management integrity is a significant factor in assessing the risk of financial reporting fraud and that rationalisation of fraud should be assessed as part of management integrity rather than a separate fraud risk factor. The current study found that fraud perpetrators capabilities are equally significant to the opportunity to commit fraud factor yet it is currently ignored by the audit standards and thus should be assessed as part of opportunity to commit fraud. The current study was the first to explore financial reporting fraud and the extent by which external auditors comply with ISA 240 in the Egyptian context. The current study offered recommendations to external auditors, audit firms, audit regulators, and the Egyptian government on how to combat financial reporting fraud. Potential areas for future research were also identified by the current study.

Revision i tider av social distansering : En kvantitativ studie av revisionsbranschen under Coronapandemin / Audit in times of social distancing : A quantitative study of the auditing industry during the Corona pandemicNordmark, Annie, Willstein, Angelica, Otteborn, Klara January 2021 (has links)

An integrated audit evidence planning model to quantify the extent of audit evidenceMentz, Marian 11 1900 (has links)
Audit evidence enables the auditor to express an opinion on the financial statements. To address the risk that the auditor may express an inappropriate opinion, the nature, timing and extent of audit procedures must be responsive to the assessed risks of material misstatement. The auditor must aggregate the levels of assurance obtained from different combinations of tests of controls, substantive analytical procedures and tests of details to respond to the assessed risks. These evidence planning decisions are complex and require professional judgement.
Research has found that the extent of audit procedures is not linked to the assessed risks and that auditors may not know to aggregate evidence from different types of audit procedures. Research also supports the use of a structured audit methodology that includes decision models, to guide the application of professional judgement. This leads to the overall objective of this study: the development of an integrated audit evidence planning model to quantify the extent of audit evidence.
The study employs a grounded theory model building approach, interpreting the relevant concepts and principles from the literature review into the development of the model. The integrated audit evidence planning model quantitatively relates the extent of audit evidence in a logical and structured manner with the risk assessment and three distinct overall levels of assurance needed to support the audit opinion. It uses the cumulative nature of audit evidence and the compensatory inter-relationship between tests of controls, substantive analytical procedures and tests of details to quantitatively aggregate the extent and levels of assurance from the different combinations of procedures to obtain reasonable assurance at the required overall level of assurance. The model provides a framework for influencing and guiding the exercise of professional judgement and is a practical and effective tool to benefit the users thereof when conducting an audit.
Thus, the study models the extent of audit evidence with reference to the aggregation of different types and combinations of evidence and the linkage between the risk assessment and the extent of evidence that provides a flexible framework for the application of professional judgement regarding the gathering of audit evidence. / Auditing / D.
