Honey bee Apis mellifera can be identified by 24 viruses, which persist naturally in the colonies, low titers and no apparent symptoms. However, this infection, associated with other types of individual disorders, can be harmful and lead to the death of the entire colony, as reported in CCD. Several bee viruses have been described in A. mellifera, but only some are considered to be capable of causing diseases, so these, viruses are most frequently studied: Chronic Bee Paralysis Virus (CBPV), Acute Bee Paralysis Virus (ABPV), Deformed Wing Virus (DWV), Black Queen Cell Virus (BQCV), Sacbrood Virus (SBV), Kashmir Virus (KBV), SBPV (Slow Bee Paralysis Virus), VDV1 (Vírus V. destructor -1) and more recently, the Israeli Acute Paralysis Virus (IAPV). Based on the importance of beekeeping in Brazil, in addition to the ecological value of bees as pollinators, the present work sought to verify the occurrence of viruses that affect A. mellifera in the state of Minas Gerais, in thirteen cities of seven Meso-regions. The samples were collected in distinct colonies, in apiaries whose number varied between 1 and 3 per mesoregion. The total RNA present in six abdomens (pool) of workers per apiary was extracted and the synthesis of complementary DNA was made. The obtained cDNA was used for amplification by polymerization chain reaction (PCR) with previously published primers. Subsequently, each generated fragment was purified and inserted into the pGEM-T Easy vector for sequencing. In this work we can detect the presence of three viral types: ABPV, BQCV and CBPV. Two in the city of Passa Quatro in the South (ABPV and BQCV) and one (CBPV) in the cities of Viçosa, Caratinga, Divinópolis and Diamantina. For the viruses DWV, IAPV, KBV, SBV, SBPV and VDV1 no amplicons were obtained. The presence of CBPV occurs more frequently (30.76%), being registered in four cities in Minas Gerais; ABPV and BQCV at 7.69% in one locality; of the analyzed cities 61.55% did not present amplicons for the virus analyzed.
