The new is probably the most powerful and natural fact which influences us since we are borne. It is such an undefined and incredible word we use so often for „simple facts in our daily life but we are not aware of its power and the power of use. We need this word to explain a progress. It seems like the result of a magic trick. The new is so strong that it automatically takes away the light from the already known. Everything has its opposite and the new has the old; booth can only exist together, responsible for the process in the evolution. My essay examines the problematic around the new in a philosophical and critical way. It contains a large research about our relationship to the new and how it can appear in life. With Boris Groys article “on the new” I bring a problem between museum and art. Peter Dittmars article “the fascination of the new” shows also my point of view within art. “art shouldn´t be just beautiful, it should be creative, innovative and contemporary. Transformation “when the old passes to the new” shows the difference between 2 standing points of the new “the new as repetition in form of a copy” and “the new between the living and the dead” – a repetition in form of a mirror picture which is not just a repetition or copy, it is a another view of the new”. This difference is playing an important role in my practical work. My research is based on facts which appear in books and articles I collected around the contemporary art world. These facts will be put in contrast to each other, so it can automatically flow in a bride discussion which will be the most interesting and main part of my essay „the new“. My intention from the beginning to the final conclusion of this essay is clearly not to define „the new“ in any sense, it is more about an investigation of arguments which will help me to find theories about „the new“ in my practical work. Michel Foucaults questions about an author in the interpretation of the new structure my essay and will also be described in pictures which open a completely new dimension for the essay.What is the new?Do we have proofs of its authenticity and originality?What are the modes of the existence?From where does it come from, how is it distributed, from which controlled?

Abstract Det är en utbredd uppfattning att bildämnet finns till för att eleverna ska ha möjlighet att vila upp sig från andra teoretiskt tyngre ämnen. Detta trots att vi idag lever i ett bildsamhälle där bilder har en betydelsefull funktion. En frågan som då kan ställas är hur ser eleverna på bildundervisningen? Syftet med uppsatsen är att synliggöra hur elever som läser inriktningen bild i ämnet estetisk verksamhet på gymnasiet samtalar om inriktningen och dess olika aspekter. För att undersöka detta gjordes en intervjustudie med elever som läst kursen estetisk verksamhet inriktning bild. Frågorna i intervjuerna baserades på resultat som framkommit i NU03. Intervjuresultaten analyserades utifrån ämnets historiska bakgrund, läroplansteori och diskursanalys. Det visade sig efter intervjuerna att eleverna enbart arbetat med bild som ett hantverk och därför inte reflekterade över bild i andra avseenden. Elevernas diskurser om ämnet kan härledas en rådande diskurs om bildundervisningen, bild som hantverk. Inom den rådande diskursen gick det att se två tydliga ”subdiskurser” om värdet i bildundervisningen, dels för de som tänkt utöva bild i sina framtida liv och dels de som anser att ämnet har ett underhållande värde. I undersökningen visade det sig att bildundervisningen har alltså fler värden än att eleverna lära sig att skapa fina bilder.

Arbetet undersöker fältet bedömning i digitala medier. Syftet är att belysa processen och öka förståelsen vid digitala bildarbeten och bedömning av bildarbetet och den färdiga produkten ur ett didaktiskt perspektiv. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten är hermeneutik eftersom jag inte söker någon absolut sanning utan mer en ökad förståelse för den digitala processen och bedömningen vid digitalt bildarbete. Mitt underlag är empiriskt men själva bedömningen med betygsättning är myndighetsutövning.Undersökningen är gjord med studenter på lärarprogrammet och under momentet ”digitala tekniker” i lärarutbildningen. En översikt är presenterad av aktuell forskning om Informations- och kommunikationsteknik, IKT, i undervisningen, både utomlands och i Sverige. Både politiska styrdokument och nya bedömningsgrunder ger en bakgrund till min undersökning. Resultatet grundar sig på ett induktivt perspektiv, eftersom tolkning och förståelse sker under tiden och växer fram genom validering med intervjuer/frågeformulär. Undersökningen visar hur intentioner och praktiskt arbete med digitala medier inte går i fas med varandra och studenterna vill göra mycket, men på grund av kunskapsbrister i digitala medier slutförs inte arbetet i de intentioner studenten hade från början utan slutresultaten anpassas efter bristen av kunskap. Denna brist i teknik hämmar både ambition och den förutfattade bild som studenten har av sitt tänkta slutresultat.Med nya sociala medier och digitala verktyg som studenter och elever använder, bör lärarstuderande få träning och förståelse för både arbetsprocessen såväl som tekniken. Viljan att göra ett gott hantverk, ambitionen att nå full verkningshöjd med sitt arbete och luta sitt arbete mot kritiskt granskande, bör kunna skapa fantastiska produkter, bara den digitala tröskeln övervinns.

Jag tänker mig konst som en teaterscen, där publiken får komma upp på scenen ochsjälva spela pjäsen. På scenen finns scenografi som sätter tydlig prägel på stämningenoch som bidrar till handlingen, men det är publiken som fyller i de viktigaste bitarna ochmålar ut berättelsen. Med den tanken i bakhuvudet har jag de senaste två åren jobbatmed scenografi i mina egna verk och sökt inspiration hos konstnärer som ÖyvindFahlström, vars konstnärskap rört sig inom både bildkonst och teater.Scenografin i mina verk kan bestå av redan befintliga objekt (ready-mades) eller mersubtila symboler såsom färgade pappersark, lukt eller ljud.Vissa verk har tagit formen av rumsinstallationer, där scenografi vägleder betraktaren in ien fantasivärld där saker ter sig något annorlunda. En miljö där gränser suddats ut ochdär individen spelar mindre roll. En suddig värld där sådant som normer och värderingaragerar tomma begrepp och där tid verkar mindre viktigt.I andra verk har scenografin knappt varit märkbar, de har bestått av utstuderade föremåleller färgval som väglett betraktarens syn genom text eller teckning. Dessa verk har interört sig i en fantasivärld utan har snarare illustrerat beteenden eller tolkningar avidentiteter som faller utanför ramen för samhällsnormer. I ett samhälle uppbyggt på snävanormbegrepp söker jag alternativa system som öppnar upp för nya, mer tillåtande miljöer. / konstnärligt arbete

Vi lever i en värld i ständig förändring och det är inte lätt som lärare att följa medi utvecklingen. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka lärare och elevers syn påmusik och hur detta påverkar musikundervisningen. Undersökningen ägde rum påtvå skolor, totalt intervjuades tre musiklärare och åtta elever. Elevernaintervjuades i fokusgrupper medan lärarna intervjuades var för sig. Råmaterialettranskriberades och utifrån denna empiri valde jag ut temaområden som i sin turanalyserades. I denna studie framkommer senmoderna tendeser vilket i huvudsaktar sig uttryck i de ungas identitetsskapande och individualiseringsprocess. Tillexempel visar sig tv-programmet Idol dels vara en bidragande orsak till eleversutveckling av sång och musikaliskt självförtroende, dels vara en av orsakerna tillatt elever sätter jaget före laget. Denna studie visar att elever föredrar samtidaungdomsmusik medan lärarna personligen föredrar äldre musik, vilket kanpåverka musikundervisningen. Musikämnet är ett skolämne som engagerar, ochdet kanske är ämnets styrka – att alla har en åsikt om det.

EDG, Experience Design Group

The New Beauty Council (NBC) project, in its different forms and shapes, is about the multiple perceptions of urban space and design. NBC’s work includes performances, public projects, speaker series, urban curating and collaborations that engage innovative strategies of production as well as dialogues. NBC investigates how concepts of the public are constituted and how beauty and ugliness can be (re-)defined. Using the idea of the carnivalesque as a method, NBC engages with organizations and institutions, which shape and interpret cities through public conversations and staged situations. The founding members are Annika Enqvist, Anna Kharkina, Thérèse Kristiansson and Kristoffer Svenberg. A recent project is Changed Perspectives c/o Stockholm City Museum – comprising four public talks about living in and making use of Stockholm as a city. These conversations were curated and performed by Annika Enqvist and Thérèse Kristiansson.1 The research and subjects of the series in general, and one of the talks; Whatever Blows Our Trumpet in particular, are the basis of this paper. We as individuals are constantly interacting with our surrounding environment. These interactions bring us and the environment to life. It is an intra-action (Karen Barad) where we are constantly becoming to life by intra-acting with and as part of the surrounding environment. Here surrounding environment is all the materiality and the socio-cultural norms which we live in. We experience the world through these interactions. Hence the experience becomes temporal arising through the materiality and changes depending upon our past experiences, future expectations and emotions attached to them. This thesis is about the experience of togetherness, as it is experienced by two long time friends ina pre-arranged meeting. Two friends arrange such meetings to spend time together where sharing is an important aspect. The meeting is an interaction where togetherness is built over a short period of time. These two friends perform a practice apart from the sharing e.g. drinking a coffee. This practice and the materiality involved in it enrich the experience and facilitate being together by performing the practice together. Meetings like these are not always possible. Physical distance between the two friends makes it difficult to meet. Mobile telecommunication and the increasing popularity of social- network sites which allow chatting has bridged this gap considerably. Their popularity indicates the need of a communication which can offer similar experience as being together. This experience is not similar to the experience had in a meeting. This research is a process of designing a concept for a communication device. The process involves a methodology which combines field observations and developing a theory to understand and analyse the experience, which then can be used in an empathic way to design a product concept. The research in the end proposes guidelines to design interaction between two individuals. The designconcept is an iteration of a possible accessory to a mobile phone which facilitates a similar experience of togetherness.
