Šiaulių miesto triukšmo šaltiniai / Sources of noise in Šiauliai city

Dainauskas, Darius 07 September 2010 (has links)
Project target – to perform analysis of noise level in eight most noisy areas in Šiauliai city and propose tools for reduction of noise level. Noise levels were measured next to shopping centres „Akropolis“, „Tilžė“, „Bruklinas“ and „Saulės miestas“, near the factory of solid fuel boilers „Kalvis“, knitting company „Verpstas“, city railway station and nearby gymnasium of J.Janonio, whereat majority of noise is caused by motor transport. Highest equivalent noise level was measured next to shopping centre „Akropolis“. An average levels of the noise at areas of shopping centres „Tilžė“ and „Saulės miestas“, gymnasium of J.Janonio and the factory of solid fuel boilers „Kalvis“ were not exceeded. At the territories of shopping centre „Bruklinas“ and knitting company „Verpstas“ levels of the noise were overpassed 1 and 10dBA respectively. Utmost noise level was measured near the railway station, where equivalent noise level was exceeded by 27dBA. Specific noise of railway transport is the major cause for it. The proposal for reduction of noise levels up to 20dBA is by installing noise muting walls or enclosing stationary noise sources with acoustic fences likewise to line the street of the territory with trees, sprout up with other plants.

Σούκουλη, Φωτεινή 11 October 2013 (has links)
This thesis deals with the criticism on the Greek education reform of 1929, comprising from the education bills submitted when ministers of education were K. Gontikas (1929) and G. Papandreou (1930-1932), by the government of Eleftherios Venizelos, from a newspaper not supporting the governing party, namely newspaper “Akropolis”. The study of this particular newspaper was considered interesting, since it achieved high circulation and contained articles written by D. Glinos, an educator and intellectual who played an important role in the education reform of 1913, which had also been submitted by the governing party of Liberals led by Eleftherios Venizelos. Apart from the bibliographic references, newspaper articles are provided and analyzed, using content analysis, referring to the education reform of 1929.
