Socialinių pedagogų veikla padedant alkoholikų šeimoms / Social work with alcoholic’s families: problems and prospects

Many recent economical, political and social changes have made a strong influence on people’s life in Lithuania. Nowadays community faces a lot of serious problems, such as poverty, unemployment, children exploit, compulsion, neglecting of human rights, drugs spreading among teenagers. Unemployment strongly influenced the increasing of number of unsociable families, their degradation and high rate of homeless and abandoned children. The main reason of children poverty is unemployment of their parents and as a consequence of it using various intoxicants (usually alcohol), low salaries, family structure and high number of children in such families. The research goal is to analyze dimensions and methods of working with alcoholic’s families in order to recommend some improvements in social work. Tasks of research: 1. To analyze theoretical premises of solving unsociable families problems. 2. To reveal reasons why alcoholic’s families do not live normal social life and emphasize peculiarities of social work with such families. 3. To determine methods used by social pedagogues working with alcoholic’s families. 4. To analyze what difficulties do social pedagogues experience while working with alcoholic’s families. 5.
