Pedagogo vaidmenys šiandieninėje visuomenėje / The teacher's roles in today's society

Lazauskaitė, Rasa 09 June 2006 (has links)
SUMMARY Research theme: Roles of pedagogue in a modern society. Author of thesis: Rasa Lazauskaitė Profession of a teacher differs from other professions because a teacher himself is an instrument of his work. An artisan has a chisel or a plane, a machine tool or a drill; even a doctor has instruments to test state of health and medicaments affecting the patient. A teacher has nothing – only his own knowledge and feelings, wisdom and skills, experience and values. In his professional life he appeals to himself and uses his own internal powers. Therefore, personality of a teacher is the main mover of his work, his passport to success. To reach an optimal use of himself as an instrument of his work, firstly, a teacher has to self-actualise, secondly, to know how to use his strengths and control weaknesses and, thirdly, to care of self-improvement and self-help. Research subject: roles of pedagogue in a modern society. Research aim: to examine the roles of pedagogue in a modern society. Research objectives: • to survey the roles of pedagogue, presented in scientific literature; • to analyse the inborn and obtainable characteristics and possible dangerous illusions of pedagogue; • to investigate the attitude of teachers, students and pupils towards the roles of modern pedagogue in a society. Research methods: scientific literature analysis, teachers, students and pupils questionnaire, quantitative and qualitative analysis of the results of research. Research scope: The... [to full text]
