Socialinio pedagogo pagalba vaikams, patiriantiems geriančių tėvų smurtą / Social pedagogue's help for children, suffering violence from drunk parens

A concluding thesis by Auksė Barilienė, postgraduate of Vilnius Pedagogic University, Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, Social Pedagogy Department, named “Social pedagogue’s help for children, suffering violence from drunk parents”, supervisor prof. Dr. Juozas-Vytautas Uzdila, is written after a thorough analysis of pedagogical and psychological literature, legal documents and strategy of rendering help to children, suffering violence. Analysis of aggressive behaviour of parents with their children is given in the first chapter. Genesis of aggression and analysis of conception of aggression and its varieties are also presented in this chapter. A survey of legal documents, defending the rights of children is made and the works of pedagogues and psychologists concerning violence against children are analyzed. The main reasons inducing parents to use aggression against their children are discussed. The results of aggression experienced in family are overviewed. The second chapter is devoted to discussion about the strategy of rendering help for children, suffering violence of drunk parents. The diagnosis of aggression fact and methods of giving help are discussed. Working with family. Theme revelance and novelty. Today in global educology pedagogical help for ineffective learning pupils takes more and more important place, there for we must analise and expand this form of enlightment, that helps pupils form there cultural interests, creative powers and skills, acquire theoretical knowledge for professional work and became active citizen of democratic society. Pupil that suffers from constant failures in education loose interest in education, his learning motivation decreases, he skips classes and eventualy drops from school. There for pedagogical help for ineffectively learning pupils analises is important study bar, that have big meaning in all educational sistem, that justify masters work theme is topical and novelty. Work‘s goal. Analise main reasons for failures in learning and forsee pedagogical help for pupils that fail in learning. Works course. SUMMARY New volunteering traditions have presently been emerging in Lithuania. Volunteer work complements the governmental network of social security as well as satisfies relevant demands of the society. Volunteers devote their own time to satisfy the needs of other people without any pay. They establish non-governmental organizations intended to render social assistance to different social groups of the population. The objective of this paper is aimed at optimizing volunteer activities in non-governmental organizations (NGO) which provide social assistance to children. The objective of the research is to theoretically and empirically develop the motivation of volunteers, to reveal the importance of their motivation and preparation to work with children optimizing the activities of NGOs. The content of the present research includes analytical survey of NGO volunteer activities: the concept of volunteer activities NGO in Lithuania; the target of volunteering if defined as children of risky group social development; motivation of volunteer activities and preparation to work with children. Motivation theories have also been reviewed as well as motivation factors inside the organization and training of volunteers. Results of research volunteer activities in NGOs have also been presented. Emigrantų paliktų vaikų gyvensenos įžvalgos ir pagalbos organizavimo galimybės / Living behavior insights and help organizing possibilities for children left by emigrants

Darbo tikslas – ištirti Šiaulių miesto bendrojo lavinimo mokyklų mokyklinio amžiaus vaikų, kurių vienas ar abu tėvai emigravo į užsienį, gyvenseną ir pasiūlyti pagalbos tokiems vaikams organizavimo būdus. Uždaviniai: 1. Įvertinti emigravusių tėvų paliktų vaikų gyvensenos ir elgsenos skirtumus lyginant su vaikais, gyvenančiais kartu su tėvais. 2. Nustatyti pagrindines problemas, su kuriomis susiduria vaikai išvykus tėvams į užsienį. 3. Išanalizuoti pedagogų nuomonę apie pagalbos poreikį paliktiems vaikams. 4. Išsiaiškinti pagalbos paliktiems vaikams organizavimo būdus. Tyrimo metodika. Anonimiškai, taikant autorės parengtas anketas, apklaustos 2 mokinių grupės: 1. mokiniai, kurių vienas ar abu tėvai yra išvykę (n=109, atsako dažnis 54 proc.); 2. mokiniai, gyvenantys kartu su tėvais (n=65, atsako dažnis 65 proc.); ir grupė mokytojų, kurių klasėse yra ugdytinių, kurių tėvai išvykę (n=54, atsako dažnis 55 proc.). Apklausos duomenys analizuoti statistinės duomenų analizės programa SPSS 17.0. Naudoti kiekybiniai tyrimų metodai: aprašomosios statistikos ir χ2 nepriklausomumo kriterijus. Rezultatai. Išvykus tėvams, 65,1 proc. vaikų nurodė pablogėjusią savijautą. Emigravusių tėvų vaikai jautė mažesnę atsakomybę (45,0 proc. prieš 69,2 proc.; p=0.003), dažniau jautėsi apatiški (22 proc. prieš 3,1 proc.; p<0,001). As well as propose solutions for helping such kind of children. Objectives: 1. Evaluate the differences of living standards and behavior between children living with parents and left alone by parents who emigrated. 2. Define main problems, which children face when parents leave. 3. Analyze the opinion of educators regarding the need of help for children left alone. 4. Analyze possible help solutions for children left alone. Research methodology. Anonymous questionnaires, prepared by author was split in 2 different groups of school children: 1. School children, whose parents (one or both) are abroad (n=109, frequency of response 54%); 2. School children, who live with parents (n=65, frequency of response 65%); As well as group of teachers, who involve school children whose parents are abroad (n=54, frequency of response 55%). Data of research was analyzed by statistical data analysis software SPSS 17.0. Used quantitative data research: descriptive statistics and x2 independence criteria. Results. When parents left, 65.1% of children stated that sense of well being decreased. Children, who were left by emigrated parents, fell less responsible (45.0% against 69.2%; p=0.003) more frequently felt apathy (22% against 3.1%; p<0.001).
