Imagens de violência, enquanto fenômeno ambivalente, inerente à condição e ação humanas, dificilmente conseguem ser captadas no momento exato de seu acontecimento. Na busca de audiência, os estratagemas utilizados pelas redes de televisão são a mistura de temáticas concernentes à violência e ao seu contexto a outras ligadas a acidentes, ao sensacionalismo com e sem conteúdo violento às que remetem a assistencialismo através de coberturas filantrópicas e de defesa dos direitos do cidadão. A estandartização dos formatos dos programas indica um tratamento superficial também padronizado nas notícias, imprimindo, assim, a marca da banalização a um dos fenômenos mais instigantes a humanidade. Pelo menos é o que demonstram os resultados alcançados a partir da adequação, desenvolvimento e aplicação de metodologia para estudo de telejornalismo sensacionalista. Em linhas gerais, as análises morfológica e de conteúdo realizadas indicam que a espetacularização da ¿realidade¿ não pode ser enfocada de forma isolada, pois as estratégias utilizadas pelos meios de comunicação baseiam-se na fragilização das instâncias de percepção dos espectadores. Entre essas estratégias encontram-se as imagens da violência ¿ quando existentes ¿ e os discursos vazios. A baixa taxa de informação é característica destes ¿ e de outros ¿ telejornais / Abstract: The present study tries to show the specular strategies from ¿documentary¿ languages broadcast by national TV news in the following open channels: Cidade Alerta (Record) and Aqui Agora (SBT). Violence images, while being an ambivalent phenomenom, inherent to the human condition and human action, hardly can be captured at the exact moment that is happening. In the search for more audience, the strategies used by the TV network are a mixture of themes regarding violence and its context and others connected to accidents, to sensationalism with and without violent content, to those that deliver assistance through philanthropic and the citizen right defense covering. The standard of program forms indicates a superficial treatment also standardized by the news, impressing, that way, the banal mark to one of the most instigating human phenomenon. At least that is what shows the results overtaken through adjustment, development and methodology application to the study of sensationalist journalism. In general, the morphologic and the content analysis realized indicated that ¿reality¿ speculation can not be focused in an isolated form, because the strategies used by the communication media are based on the fragilility of the spectators instance perception. These strategies can be found in the violence images ¿ when existing ¿ and in the empty speeches.
