Hodnocení výkonnosti podniku / Evaluation of the Performance in the Firm

Janhubová, Ivana January 2015 (has links)
This master’s thesis deals with ADH Group, s. r. o. performance analysis. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describes the issue of benchmarking on the basis of scientific literature. The practical part is focused on the description of the chosen company and analysis of the coincident situation by using strategic analysis. Afterwards benchmarking method is applied in target to improve business performance. In the conclusion there are proposed some possible measures to increase the company performance.

DESIGN AND BEHAVIOR OF COMPOSITE COUPLING BEAM TO COMPOSITE PLATE SHEAR WALL CONNECTIONS

Mubashshir Ahmad (16647003) 01 August 2023 (has links)
<p>Coupled Composite Plate Shear Walls / Concrete Filled (CC-PSW/CFs) are being employed as a seismic lateral force resisting system for the design and construction of mid- to high-rise buildings around the world. The coupled system consists of two or more Composite Plate Shear Walls – Concrete Filled (C-PSW/CFs) connected to each other using composite coupling beams located at the story heights. The CC-PSW/CF system can provide higher overturning moment capacity, lateral stiffness, and ductility than uncoupled walls. Concrete-filled steel box sections are typically used for the composite coupling beams, which are designed to be flexure critical members. When the CC-PSW/CF system is subjected to lateral seismic forces, plastic hinge formation and inelastic deformations (energy dissipation) occur near the ends of most of coupling beams along the structure's height, followed by flexural hinging of the C-PSW/CFs, typically at the base. </p> <p>This work presents the details and design of four composite coupling beam-to-C-PSW/CF connection configurations. Six connection specimens, representing the four connection configurations, with beam clear span-to-section depth, <em>Lb</em>/<em>d</em>, ratios of 3.5 and 5.1, were designed, fabricated, and tested. The experimental program focused on the force-displacement and moment-rotation responses, behavioral observations, limit states, and flexural capacities of the tested specimens. Major limit states and events included yielding of the steel plates comprising the coupling beam, followed by local inelastic buckling, fracture initiation in the base metal (near the weld toes) in the connection region, and fracture propagation through the beam flange and web plates leading to loss of flexural strength and failure. All specimens developed and exceeded the capacity and chord rotation requirements, in accordance with ANSI/AISC 341-22 guidelines.</p> <p>Detailed nonlinear 3D finite element models of the tested specimens were developed and verified using experimental results. The 3D finite element models accurately simulate the stiffness, flexural capacities, and monotonic responses of tested specimens. Nonlinear fiber-based models of the tested coupling beam-to-C-PSW/CF specimens were developed and verified using experimental results. The nonlinear fiber-based models can accurately simulate the stiffness, flexural capacities, and cyclic responses of tested specimens. The benchmarked fiber models were used to estimate the moment-rotation response of full-scale archetype connections. </p>

»… an inborn architectural sense …«: Theoretisch-methodologische Überlegungen zur Performance-Analyse am Beispiel einer Aufnahme von Maria Callas

Sprau, Kilian 27 October 2023 (has links)
The traditional focus of musical analysis on scores – music in its written form as notated »text« – is by now questioned in several musicological contexts. For instance, the analysis of music as sounding practice (as it is well-established e.g. in popular music research and ethnomusicology) is highly acclaimed in the realms of Interpretationsforschung/performance studies, research fields currently undergoing organization as disciplinary integrated scientific discourse formations. Interestingly, in publications on major performers of Western art music, tendencies in a virtually opposite direction can be observed. It is not uncommon that analyses of high-quality performances make use of concepts known as central categories of »musical text analysis« (e.g. features of musical Formenlehre). This strategy can be understood as emphasizing the recognition of the performative event as an object worth of analysis by its own. This article gives evidence for this by quoting publications on the discographical legacy of Maria Callas. Following these observations, basal methodological questions are considered: can the valorisation of categories traditionally located in musico-textual analysis have anything more than purely metaphorical function in the context of performance research? That it indeed offers methodological potential of great value for performance analyses is shown by investigating a recording of the scena »O rendetemi la speme« from Vincenzo Bellini‘s opera I Puritani by Maria Callas (1953).

Knapová, Barbora January 2016 (has links)
Master’s thesis deals with issue of the Balanced Scorecard model and the proposal of its implementation at chosen company. Strategic objectives of the perspectives are deduced on the basis of strategic and financial outcomes and also measures as well as target values are assigned to the strategic objectives. The strategic initiatives that lead to fulfill proposed strategic objectives are determined afterwards. The final part of this thesis deals with risks and benefits related to the Balanced Scorecard concept implementation.

Software Controlled Clock Modulation for Energy Efficiency Optimization on Intel Processors

Schöne, Robert, Ilsche, Thomas, Bielert, Mario, Molka, Daniel, Hackenberg, Daniel 24 October 2017 (has links)
Current Intel processors implement a variety of power saving features like frequency scaling and idle states. These mechanisms limit the power draw and thereby decrease the thermal dissipation of the processors. However, they also have an impact on the achievable performance. The various mechanisms significantly differ regarding the amount of power savings, the latency of mode changes, and the associated overhead. In this paper, we describe and closely examine the so-called software controlled clock modulation mechanism for different processor generations. We present results that imply that the available documentation is not always correct and describe when this feature can be used to improve energy efficiency. We additionally compare it against the more popular feature of dynamic voltage and frequency scaling and develop a model to decide which feature should be used to optimize inter-process synchronizations on Intel Haswell-EP processors.
