Busca-se entender o circuito social da fotografia, a demanda social por imagens e a prática que o fotógrafo desenvolveu, registrando pessoas e paisagens. Discute-se também acerca da Coleção Paulino Araújo, sua caracterização, temas e limitações e se estabelece uma análise acerca das representações sociais e urbanas na cidade de Campanha. / This paper investigates the trajectory of Paulino Araújo from memory symbolic and material around its role as photographer in the City Campaign in Southern Minas Gerais during six decades of the twentieth century. We seek to understand the social circuit photography, the social demand for images that the photographer and the practice developed, registering people and landscapes. It is also discussed about the Pauline Collection Araújo, characterization, themes and limitations and provides an analysis of the social representations about the city and urban Campaign.
