O texto se divide em três partes. A primeira parte consiste em uma pequena biografia que visa contextualizar o compositor no panorama musical brasileiro, com base em elementos como a origem, formação musical, trajetória profissional e obra composicional. A segunda parte procura especificar, com o auxílio de exemplos e comparações, as principais vertentes violonísticas pelas quais o compositor se deixou influenciar, tais como a música nordestina, o choro, a seresta e o modernismo brasileiro. A terceira parte trata do uso do idiomatismo, que pode ser apontado através da análise de algumas de suas composições. Complementa este trabalho um anexo com as partituras de exemplos do repertório analisado e uma relação com as músicas de Francisco Araújo para violão solo. / Abstract: This master's thesis has as main objective the study of the composer Francisco Araujo's classical guitar work. The text is divided into three parts. The first part consists of a small biography that seeks to contextualize the composer in the Brazilian musical scene, based on factors such as origin, musical background, career path and composicional work. The second part aims to specify, with the aid of examples and comparisons, the main classical guitar sources by which the composer has been influenced, such as the Brazilian Northeast music, the choro, the seresta and the Brazilian modernism. The third part deals with the use of the idiomatism, which can be identified through the analysis of some of his compositions. This text is complemented with attached sample scores of the repertoire studied and a list of Francisco Araújo's music for solo classical guitar. / Mestrado / Praticas Interpretativas / Mestre em Música
