The diploma thesis concerns with issues of the hunt as a part of the nobleman representation and its image in facilities of the Czech hunting chateaus. The introductory chapters of this these describe the phenomena of hunt, its evolution and its image in fine art. These chapters are subsequently filled in iconographical drafts, which helped to form the shape of the decoration of chateaus. The core of the thesis are chapters concern with theme of the hunting architecture and artistic evaluation of the group nobleman hunting residences. Specifically, these are chateaus Svaty Hubert, Humprecht, Diana, Ohrada and Kozel. In the final chapters the author introduces an issue of nobleman representation. Into its context he situates the theme of hunt and pieces of fine arts connected with it. These chapters also contain a few examples of the aristocrats who knew how to use the hunt for their personal representation. For illustration is this thesis amended by picture attachment.

This thesis interrogates the interrelation between architecture and science fiction cinema to understand the fictional and representative power of architecture. Since cinema embraces both physical and representative aspects of architecture it is convenient to carry out the research through the mediation of cinema. To accomplish this goal science fiction genre is particularly chosen where architectural image can break its commonly acknowledged facet and can reconstruct to participate in the narrative. The architectural image is intended to be interpreted through the concept of city and architectural components in science fiction cinema. To create a mutual language, a world wide known city &amp / #8211 / New York City &amp / #8211 / is selected as the case study subject / that the research is developed upon. Initially the study is based on the discussion over cinema architecture relationship from an architect&amp / #8217 / s point of view. Subsequently architectural image in architecture and cinema is studied under several categories. Twenty four science fiction movies with various plots are chosen where all the movies are either located in New York City or in a fictional city inspired by it. By analyzing these movies through architectural concepts it is aimed to gain understanding to key points in architectural design.

Esta tese trata da contextualização da geometria descritiva como sistema de representação na arquitetura. Desenvolve-se a partir da desconstrução da Géométrie descriptive de Gaspard Monge, publicada em 1799, acompanhando a exposição de seu autor desde o conteúdo da capa até a sua última página, de onde são destacadas partes a serem estudadas entre os textos, desenhos e a própria apresentação da obra. Desconstruir a teoria mongeana apresenta-se relevante neste estudo por investigar sobre as lições dadas por Monge em 1799, que coexistem até o momento com outras representações, entretanto sem um questionamento e entendimento epistemológico. Considerando que existem distorções na exposição original das lições mongeanas em obras subseqüentes à Géométrie descriptive e que conceitos de representação determinam limites de compreensão do espaço que implicam na própria arquitetura, este estudo dá abertura de resignificação à teoria original de Monge no ensino de arquitetura. / This thesis is about the descriptive geometry contextualization as an Architecture representation system. It was developed after Gaspard Monge’s Géométrie descriptive deconstruction, published in 1799, accompanying its author exposition since its cover content until its last page, form where parts are detached to be studied among the texts, draws and the own handiwork presentation. To deconstruct Monge’s theory is relevantly presented in this study for investigate Monge’s lessons taught in 1799 that coexists until this moment with different representations, without any question and epistemology understanding. Considering that there are distortions in the original Monge lessons exposition in Géométrie descriptive following handiwork and that its representation concepts determinate limits to the space comprehension that imply the Architecture itself, this study gives opening to Monge’s original theory resignification in the Architecture teaching.
