Violão sem professor: um estudo sobre processos de auto-aprendizagem com adolescentes

Correa, Marcos Kroning January 2000 (has links)
This qualitative study investigates the procedures involved in self-leaming guitar playing, in an extra school context, through five case studies. The motivation which takes five youngsters, between fifteen and sixteen years old, to seek the their own ways of leaming in their spare time and the methodological procedures used are the issues investigated in this research. The interview, semi-structured 1n recorded cassettes and on video-tape, were made in the teenagers' homes between July 1999 and January 2000, in Porto Alegre. The study highlights important elements related to the pedagogical practices of self-graduation in the instrument, inserted in the extra school pedagogical practice.

Identité, exil, le roman comme autohospitalité de soi : cas de l'oeuvre romanesque d'Abdourahman Ali Waberi / Identity, exile, the novel as auto hospitality : case of Abdourahman Ali Waberi's novelistic work

Ekome Meteghe, Chimène Jessica 21 September 2018 (has links)
The issue of identity, with a digression by the issue of displacement caught in between immigration and exile and that of an updated hospitality, is a hot topic on the social, cultural, political, but also individual level. In the complex oscillation between assimilation and differentiation at the heart of nationalist ideas of identity, every subject also raises the question of its limits and its place in relation to those around us. Abdourahman Waberi's novelistic work questions by asking and answering in a multitude of variations of these contemporary phenomena this set of facts by its narrative structures and procedures. His freedom of writing that is involuntarily subject to the constraint that drives the writer’s will to write unbeknownst to himself, comes to consider this work as having a "deep identity", a possible answer to the quest for self, the space occupied by the text becoming a space of self-hospitality of the subject writing faced with distress and loss. During our research, in which literary and psychoanalytic approaches intertwine, this "auto hospitality" is a privileged object of study to question the relationship between a constitutive gap between oneself and another while seeking a " profound identity ". The Waberian novel, thereby, not only allows us to consider the literary field in its capacity to focus on the above-mentioned contemporary problems, but also opens the possibility of materializing a space, a place, where the hospitality of the writer in himself can be registered as a means of surviving the identity crisis and the constraint of obliteration, to fight against destructiveness and loss of self in exile.

Ho, Kai-hsiang 28 July 2007 (has links)
In the trend of globalization, the auto industry in China has been highly developing. Every movement of it will affect the development of the global auto industry. With such great potential volume from the consuming population of 1.3 billion and the special political and economic system, China auto industry develops by leaps and bounds. Further, not only the numbers of firms are quite a lot, but also the forms of firms are diverse. However, this phenomenon causes the development of the auto industry in China to be disordered, casual, and small. Joint venture firms, in the contrary of the local firms, have been the major roles in the auto industry in China, and occupy more than 70% of the auto market in China. But in recent years, the automobile market share of the independent brand in China has been gradually on the increase; the output growth rate of the independent brand also exceeds the average standard of the industry. As many phenomena have proven the success of independent brands, this study intended to use the analysis on the Chinese auto market and the case study of a local auto firm in China to understand how the China's political and economic structure affects the automobile market and the operation of the auto firms with independent brands. Automobile industry is a labor-intensive, capital-intensive, and technology-intensive industry. It not only has a very high degree of industrial linkage, but also has an enormous impact on a country's economy. Further, cars of independent brand often represent the home country's economic and scientific strength. But according to the result of this study, the case succeeded for its own efforts and precision timing's forecast more than the government policy relevance. Though China is regarded as the big country of automobile consumption, the performances of the independent-brand auto industry in China have less surprising growth than the consumer market of the automobile. If the government plans the intact policies for the automobile industry of independent brand and encourages the independent technical development, China can suppress the invasion of foreign automobile brands and foreign capitals effectively, and set up the automobile kingdom of China belonging to itself.

Dynamic interactions between electricity prices and the regional economy

Bethapudi, Daniel Naveen 29 August 2005 (has links)
In this thesis we study characterize the dynamic relationships among two electricity price variables (residential and commercial) and six regional economic variables in order to examine each individual variable??s role in regional economic activity. We also answer the question ??Do electricity prices have impact on regional economic variables??? We use two statistical techniques as engines of analysis. First, we use directed acyclic graphs to discover how surprises (innovations) in prices from each variable are communicated to other variables in contemporaneous time. Second, we use time series methods to capture regularities in time lags among the series. Yearly time series data on two electricity prices and six regional economic variables for Montgomery County (Texas) are studied using time series methods. Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) are used to impose restrictions on the Vector Auto Regression model (VAR). Using Innovation Accounting Analysis of the estimated Vector Auto Regression (VAR) model we unravel the dynamic relationships between the eight variables. We conclude that rising electricity prices have a negative impact on allregional economic variables. The commercial average electricity prices lead residential average electricity prices in the time frame we studied (1969-2000). Rising residential electricity prices also have a positive impact on income derived from transfer payments.

Richard Strauss : Heroism, auto-heroism and the musical self

Wu, Janice Pei-Yen Unknown Date (has links)
The popular musico-historical image of Richard Strauss misrepresents both the composer and his music. As this thesis shows, such misrepresentation results from a failure to recognise the significance of Romantic heroic idealism to Strauss's compositional aesthetic. In his aesthetic, heroism operates at a fundamental level where musical self-representation exists as the expression of the Romantic heroic self and its subjectivity. This thesis, presented in two parts, examines firstly the concept of Romantic heroism, itself a misunderstood phenomenon, and, secondly, the ways that a deeper understanding of heroism functions as the underlying impetus for apprehending Strauss's approach to creativity. This creativity is tantamount to the composer's invention of a musical self. Chapter One examines nineteenth-century heroism as an ideological, aesthetic, and philosophical phenomenon, looking at how the early Romantics defined the hero and the centrality of notions of self-identity and self-consciousness to this definition. These notions legitimised subjectivity and realistic artistic self-portrayal. Chapters Two to Four examine literature, painting, and photography, respectively, as artistic spheres in which the idea of self became particularly pronounced. This is seen in the adoption of Romantic irony expressed as extreme realism. As a remedy for self-consciousness, this realism signalled the development towards the acute subjectivity of later nineteenth-century auto-heroism. Part Two, Chapters Five to Eight, considers Strauss's heroic allegiance, understood as an auto-heroic stage of heroism. His aesthetic notion of self is shown to have been specifically derived from social, national, and cultural spheres, all of which reinforced and demonstrated the realistic and auto-heroic expression of the musical self. Having established Strauss's historical reputation (Chapter Five) for the purpose of presenting the image which heroism amends, the idea of self obtaining from the social sphere of education (Chapter Six), and from the broader cultural and national outlooks suggested by Goethe (Chapter Seven) and Wagner (Chapter Eight), are considered. Within these chapters, the ways that these ideas of self are translated into the music itself are explored particularly in relation to the tone poems from Also sprach Zarathustra through to Eine Alpensinfonie. Romantic heroism enables Strauss's music to be understood as the product of a well-defined aesthetic theory within which self-representation is fully justified, thereby challenging the composer's predominating image.
