Modelování pružných mechanizmů / Modeling of Elastic Mechanisms

Slaný, Jan January 2017 (has links)
The thesis deals with constructing and solving a discrete mechanical model from the point of view of dynamics. As an example of a real-world problem which can be approximated in this way, the dynamical behaviour of a bow and arrow during loose have been chosen. In order to solve this particular type of model, a specialized piece of software has been developed. This method and software have been deployed to simulate shooting a straight bow of specific parametres. Two variants for the shape of the bowstaff have been evaluated.

Molekulární mechanismy signalizace a terminace checkpointu / Molecular mechanisms of checkpoint signalling and termination

Benada, Jan January 2017 (has links)
Cells employ an extensive signalling network to protect their genome integrity, termed DNA damage response (DDR). The DDR can trigger cell cycle checkpoints which prevent cell cycle progression and allow repair of DNA damage. The failures in these safeguarding mechanism are represented by serious human malignancies, most predominantly by cancer development. This work aims to contribute to the understanding of how do the cells negatively regulate DDR and cell cycle checkpoint signalling. We focused mainly on Wip1 (PPM1D) phosphatase, which is a major negative regulator of DDR and is indispensable for checkpoint recovery. Firstly, we have shown that Wip1 is degraded during mitosis in APC-Cdc20 dependent manner. Moreover, Wip1 is phosphorylated at multiple residues during mitosis, resulting in inhibition of its enzymatic activity. We suggest that the abrogation of Wip1 activity enables cells to react adequately even to low levels of DNA damage encountered during unperturbed mitosis. In the following publication, we have investigated why the mitotic cells trigger only early events of DDR and do not proceed to the recruitment of DNA repair factors such as 53BP1. We showed that 53BP1 is phosphorylated within its ubiquitination-dependent recruitment domain by CDK1 and Plk1. These phosphorylations prevents...

Magnetismus 5f-elektronů v intermetalických sloučeninách uranu / 5f-electron Magnetism in Intermetallic Uranium Compounds

Vališka, Michal January 2018 (has links)

Magnetismus v necentrosymetricke uranove sloucenine: UIrSi3 / Magnetism in non-centrosymmetric uranium compound: UIrSi3

Valenta, Jaroslav January 2019 (has links)
Title: Magnetism in the non-centrosymmetric uranium compound: UIrSi3 Author: RNDr. Jaroslav Valenta Department: Department of Condensed Matter Physics Supervisor of the doctoral thesis: RNDr. Jiří Prchal, Ph.D., DCMP Abstract: The study presented in this thesis is focused on UIrSi3 which is one of two known uranium compounds that crystallize in a non-centrosymmetric structure. This first study of UIrSi3 in single-crystalline form confirms antiferromagnetic order below TN = 41.7 K and reveals strong uniaxial anisotropy. The antiferromagnetic order is suppressed by application of a magnetic field along the c axis (0HC = 7.3 T at 2 K). In contrast, application of a magnetic field up to 14 T along the a axis gives paramagnetic response. The high TN, contrasting with the low 0HC, together with the opposite signs of the paramagnetic Curie temperatures of the a-axis and c-axis paramagnetic susceptibility indicate a competition between antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic interactions. The first-order metamagnetic transition at HC shows asymmetric hysteresis which reflects a complex antiferromagnetic ground state. With increasing temperature, the hysteresis becomes gradually smaller and vanishes at 28 K where the first-order transition changes to second-order transition which remains up to TN. The point where the...

Model postupné změny / Gradual change model

Míchal, Petr January 2020 (has links)
The thesis aims at change-point estimation in gradual change models. Methods avail- able in literature are reviewed and modified for point-of-stabilisation (PoSt) context, present e.g. in drug continuous manufacturing. We describe in detail the estimation in the linear PoSt model and we extend the methods to quadratic and Emax model. We describe construction of confidence intervals for the change-point, discuss their interpre- tation and show how they can be used in practice. We also address the situation when the assumption of homoscedasticity is not fulfilled. Next, we run simulations to calculate the coverage of confidence intervals for the change-point in discussed models using asymp- totic results and bootstrap with different parameter combinations. We also inspect the simulated distribution of derived estimators with finite sample. In the last chapter, we discuss the situation when the model for the data is incorrectly specified and we calculate the coverage of confidence intervals using simulations. 1

Apologetika křesťanství Teilharda de Chardin / Teilhard de Chardin's apologetics of Christianity

Procházka, Leoš January 2017 (has links)
The thesis "Teilhard de Chardin's apologetics of Christianity" starts with a brief introduction to apologetics and fundamental theology in general, on the basis of Teilhard's thought, presents the main critical comments and addresses the methodological question of the approach to his thinking. In the main part, develops the structure of apologetics from the phenomenological description of the world's evolution, from the particles and animals through the emergence of consciousness and man. This is showed on the basis of the "law of complexity and consciousness", which shows the increase of consciousness with the increase of the complexity. And then, through noogenesis (evolution of the spirit), it reaches the point of Omega. The thesis addresses the question of the legitimacy of such extrapolation and continues to the philosophical deduction of Omega's characteristics, as essentially transcendent, to an entropy independent, attractive and present. From the philosophically introduced point of Omega, seeks to show the possibility of identifying Christ of revelation with the Omega point through the theological reflection, as proof and defense of the truth of Christianity. The thesis tries to critically evaluate the apologetics thus built, to elaborate the philosophical view and to evaluate the...

Věty o pevném bodě v teorii diferenciálních rovnic / Fixed point theorems in the theory of differential equations

Zelina, Michael January 2020 (has links)
This thesis is devoted to show various applications of fixed point theorems on dif- ferential equations. In the beginning we use a notion of topological degree to derive several fixed points theorems, primarily Brouwer, Schauder and Kakutani-Ky Fan the- orem. Then we apply them on a wide range of relatively simple problems from ordinary and partial differential equations (ode and pde). Finally, we take a look on a few more complex problems. First is an existence of a solution to the model of mechanical os- cillator with non-monotone dependence of both displacement and velocity. Second is a solution to so called Gause predator-prey model with a refuge. The last one is cer- tain partial differential equation with a constraint which determines maximal monotone graph. 1

The possibility of using BOD on-line measurement.

Zhang, Tianzi January 2012 (has links)
BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) is one of the important parameters in wastewater treatment technology,  it normally takes five days to get the result. Using MFC (Microbial Fuel Cell) to build up a small on-line system to measure BOD will reduce to operating time to 20 minutes. In this report, the MFC BOD on-line measurement was processed in order to test if this rapid way would work in practical usage. The experiment used secondary sedimentation sludge as the bacteria source on the MFC anode pattern with GGA (Glucose and Glutamic Acid solution) as an electron producer, and the 30 minutes voltage value changing curves was gotten by measuring the voltage. At the end the curve was analyzed and compared with the real BOD value in order to get the conclusion. The BOD on-line measurement is quite promising and efficient when multi-samples are needed to be tested.

Klinické dopady ovlivnění okohybných svalů / Clinical effects of treating extraocular muscles

Vacková, Petra January 2021 (has links)
Extraocular muscles have the structure of striated muscle with a very fine innervation. In addition to the obvious function of moving eyeballs to ensure binocular vision, they have an irreplaceable role in the field of proprioception, in maintaining balance and posture. In physiotherapy, we use the eye movement to facilitate/for inhibition of various muscle groups or even whole muscle chains. Extraocular muscles themselves and their condition generally eludes our interest, although even there we find the first signs: the study of the relationship of trigger points and cephalea. The theoretical part of this thesis provides comprehensive information on the anatomy and function of the eye muscles. It also deals with selected pathologies that primarily relate to other structures of the human body, but whose manifestations can also be observed on the function and activity of extraocular muscles. A separate chapter is the relationship of extraocular muscles, field of vision and stability. The practical part of the theses is designed as a pivot study. Its aim is to determine whether we are able to affect the condition of extraocular muscles by manual physiotherapeutic interventions and how is our proposed therapy perceived by probands themselves. For objectivization of any changes, the peripheral vision...
