本文著力於研究北魏都洛四十年間,其城市面貌因受佛教擴張的影響而出現的歷史變遷情況。在微觀視角上,本文亦就佛寺布局形態及其內部寺塔形制的變遷過程,里坊規劃與佛寺布局的相互關係等问题,進行探討。文章關注並探索具體時空中人們的社會生活與佛教信仰間的互動與交融情況,以期能在文獻與實物資料之基礎上,呈現彼時都城居民的日常信仰生活。 / This dissertation attempts to research the historical changes in the appearance of Luoyang City caused by the expansion of Buddhism during the 40-year period in which it was the capital of the Northern Wei Dynasty. This paper also studies the changing layout of the Buddhist monasteries in Luoyang from a microcosmic perspective, as well as the changing styles of temples in these monasteries. The interrelationship between the design of city blocks and the layout of monasteries were discussed in this paper as well. The interaction and blend of people’s social life and Buddhist Beliefs in such a specific city and period of time were explored. A Research of Chien-Fo-Shan Buddhistic Followers' Satisfaction on Buddhistic Propagandism TV Programs

Abstract Since the lifting of martial law in Taiwan area in July 1987 and following the economic growth, democratization of politics, and diversified development of the society, people¡¦s educational and income standards have improved continuously, and their pursuit of high quality life, especially their demands for participation in public affairs and consciousness of self-satisfaction and self-realization have become more and more insistent. As a result, non-profit organizations spring up like mushrooms. The social service institutions, charitable organizations, etc. also rise because of the demand. Non-profit organizations are thus become essential products of the time. With broad resources, the Buddhist organizations have been transformed from organizations that renounce the world into the ones engaging in the mundane world for more than a decade. Changing from pure temples in the past to organizations with modern marketing concepts today, the Buddhist organizations spread their philosophy of ¡§self saving and saving others; self benefit and benefiting others¡¨, culture and business through the far-reaching modern scientific and technical media. They continue to expand their domain and accept more followers. Form them, religious TV programs are the most popular marketing tools for missionary work. Therefore, this paper takes Chien Fo Shan as an example to discuss the effects of religious TV programs on religious groups and people. Though the TV programs produced by the Buddhist organizations are neither so splendid as the variety shows nor so in-depth as news programs, their influences on people¡¦s mind and promotion of culture should not be neglected. Moreover, the religious TV programs have a lot of audiences, so they will produce certain effects on the audiences. This article uses believers of Chien Fo Shan in southern Taiwan as objects and investigates the conditions of their watching the religious TV programs. Questionnaire survey and qualitative interviews were conducted to understand the influences of those Buddhist programs on the mind and life of the believers and attain the expected goals of this study: 1. To understand if a religion can enhance the centripetal force of their believers to the religious organizations through preaching in TV programs. 2. To know what are the changes in the believers¡¦ belief or behavior after they watch the religious TV programs.
