Šiuolaikiniais maišytuvais gaminamo asfaltbetonio mišinių kokybės gerinimo galimybių analizė / Analysis of posibility to make better quality asphalt concrete mixes in modern asphalt concrete mixers

Gulbinas, Gediminas 12 June 2005 (has links)
This paper covers the analysis of the main asphalt concrete production technological processes. It includes calculation of dosed materials for the two asphalt concrete mixes, as well as precision and stability of maintenance of temperature, necessary for the technological process. The above calculation is made following the production data printed by the mixer's printer. These data were divided into four groups: shift, week, month, season. This paper includes statistical indexes that reflects technological process of the asphalt concrete mixer: the arithmetical averages of real doses, temperatures and mixing time , the average square deviations Sq, variation's coefficients V etc. The methods, described in this paper, can be used for improvement of the normative documents and the quality control of produced asphalt concrete mixture. The paper consists of 143 pages and 129 drawings (some of them are in the addition) . The list of literature includes 29 bibliographic editions.

Analysis Of Serial Inventory Systems Under Nonstationary Demand

Baskan, Fevzi 01 December 2004 (has links) (PDF)
In this study we consider a two-echelon supply chain with a nonstationary demand process. The retailer batches the customer demand for a predetermined number of periods before placing an order to the supplier. We show that the demand process for the supplier is more variable than that for the retailer. It is observed that the supplier can reduce the variability of orders by tracking the exogenous demand occurring at the retailer&#039 / s side.

Zimmer, Andre January 2003 (has links)
The objective of this work is the study of the fly ash of the mineral coa/ from the region of Criciúma (SC) for its use as raw material source in the manufacture of ceramic files. Reaproveitamento de lamas residuais do processo de fabricação do concreto. / Reuse of slurry from the concrete manufacturing process.

Daniel Oliveira Frazão da Silva 21 December 2015 (has links)
Nowadays, one of the biggest problems of a central concrete batching are the concrete waste leftovers returning from work generating decanted sludge with high pH characterizing it as hazardous waste and representing high spending allocation. The purpose of this study aims to study in detail the composition of the sludge from the concrete manufacturing process, checking what is the influence of its addition in concrete. With this, we intend to study some forms of treatment and its reuse economically viable to replace the fine aggregate. For this study two samples that were collected cementitious material, being collected directly from one settling tank and collected in the second washing of the own mixer trucks. They were subjected to characterization tests such as thermogravimetric analysis (TG), laser granulometry calorimetry and fresh concrete test (rheology and chilling) and hardened concrete. For economic feasibility was carried out a case study in three metering stations of concrete, in order to identify material losses, disposal costs and variable costs in the manufacture of concrete. The results showed that the form of collection of cementitious materials influences the fineness of the material as particle size and bulk density test, but it was not possible to obtain anhydrous cement. The possibility of using sludge in concrete was possible with the help of superplasticizers additives, but for the economical feasibility of the production chain concrete studied it a great replacement content of the mud by the fine aggregate.

Shop Scheduling In The Presence Of Batching, Sequence-dependent Setups And Incompatible Job Families Minimizing Earliness And Tardiness Penalties

Buchanan, Patricia 01 January 2014 (has links)
The motivation of this research investigation stems from a particular job shop production environment at a large international communications and information technology company in which electro-mechanical assemblies (EMAs) are produced. The production environment of the EMAs includes the continuous arrivals of the EMAs (generally called jobs), with distinct due dates, degrees of importance and routing sequences through the production workstations, to the job shop. Jobs are processed in batches at the workstations, and there are incompatible families of jobs, where jobs from different product families cannot be processed together in the same batch. In addition, there are sequence-dependent setups between batches at the workstations. Most importantly, it is imperative that all product deliveries arrive on time to their customers (internal and external) within their respective delivery time windows. Delivery is allowed outside a time window, but at the expense of a penalty. Completing a job and delivering the job before the start of its respective time window results in a penalty, i.e., inventory holding cost. Delivering a job after its respective time window also results in a penalty, i.e., delay cost or emergency shipping cost. This presents a unique scheduling problem where an earlinesstardiness composite objective is considered. This research approaches this scheduling problem by decomposing this complex job shop scheduling environment into bottleneck and non-bottleneck resources, with the primary focus on effectively scheduling the bottleneck resource. Specifically, the problem of scheduling jobs with unique due dates on a single workstation under the conditions of batching, sequence-dependent iii setups, incompatible job families in order to minimize weighted earliness and tardiness is formulated as an integer linear program. This scheduling problem, even in its simplest form, is NP-Hard, where no polynomial-time algorithm exists to solve this problem to optimality, especially as the number of jobs increases. As a result, the computational time to arrive at optimal solutions is not of practical use in industrial settings, where production scheduling decisions need to be made quickly. Therefore, this research explores and proposes new heuristic algorithms to solve this unique scheduling problem. The heuristics use order review and release strategies in combination with priority dispatching rules, which is a popular and more commonly-used class of scheduling algorithms in real-world industrial settings. A computational study is conducted to assess the quality of the solutions generated by the proposed heuristics. The computational results show that, in general, the proposed heuristics produce solutions that are competitive to the optimal solutions, yet in a fraction of the time. The results also show that the proposed heuristics are superior in quality to a set of benchmark algorithms within this same class of heuristics
