Interdisciplinaridade entre física e biologia promovendo a compreensão de conceitos físicos

Este trabalho analisa se o estabelecimento de uma relação de interdisciplinaridade entre a Física e a Biologia pode servir como facilitador para a aprendizagem significativa de conceitos físicos por alunos do Ensino Médio. Para tal, buscou-se uma metodologia e a criação de um material didático interdisciplinar, que estimule o aluno a uma aprendizagem significativa e à compreensão dos fenômenos e conceitos físicos, mediante o entendimento da interpretação dada pelos sentidos. A teoria de aprendizagem significativa de David Ausubel e a teoria dos campos conceituais de Gérard Vergnaud embasam a fundamentação teórica deste trabalho. Este projeto foi implementado na forma de uma oficina extraclasse, no 3° trimestre de 2015, oferecida para os alunos das turmas de terceiro ano de um colégio da rede privada de ensino de Porto Alegre, RS. As atividades criadas tinham como ponto de partida situações-problema introduzidas através de questionamentos que conduziam a discussões com uma abordagem interdisciplinar. Com o objetivo de averiguar a interiorização dos aspectos e conceitos físicos e biológicos debatidos nas atividades da oficina foram usados dois instrumentos - um teste de conhecimentos e a construção de um mapa conceitual. Os resultados da implementação dessa proposta didática levam a crer que a inclusão de uma abordagem interdisciplinar pode propiciar uma aprendizagem com significado. / This work analyses if the establishment of a interdisciplinary relation between Physics and Biology could serve as a facilitator for meaningful learning of Physics concepts by High School students. For this objective, it has been considered a methodology and the creation of multidisciplinary didactic material which could stimulate the student to meaningful learning and to the comprehension of Physics phenomena and concepts through the understanding of the interpretations given by the senses. The theory of the meaningful learning by David Ausubel and the theory of the conceptual fields by Gérard Vergnaud based the theoretical construct of this work. This project has been applied in the form of an extra class workshop, in the third trimester of 2015, offered to the High School third year student groups of a Porto Alegre’ private school. The activities created had as a starting point situations introduced through questions which conducted to discussions with an interdisciplinary approach. With the objective of assessing the interiorization of Physics and Biologic aspects and concepts debated in the workshop activities it has been utilized two instruments – a knowledge test and the construction of a conceptual map. Integrering av biologi i förskolan / Integration of biology in preschool

Syftet med denna studie var att få kunskap om hur pedagogers arbetssätt inom biologi skiljer sig åt beroende på barngruppens ålder, samt vilken inställning pedagoger generellt sett har till ämnet. Undersökningsmetoden som är använt i undersökningen är enkäter, då syftet var att göra en kvantitativ studie för att kunna generalisera mitt resultat. Resultatet visar på att pedagogerna har en positiv inställning till biologi i verksamheten och ser det som spännande, rolig och intressant. Man kan också se att över hälften av respondenterna tycker sig ha grundläggande kunskaper i ämnet biologi men en stor del saknar kunskapen de vill ha och önskar vidareutbildning i ämnet. Pedagogerna ansåg också att det tydligt står i förskolans läroplan hur man kan integrera biologi och andra naturvetenskapliga ämnen i verksamheten. Resultatet visar också på att skillnaden på arbetssättet i biologi skiljer sig åt beroende på barngruppens ålder, speciellt när det kommer till begreppsanvändning tillsammans i barngruppen. / The purpose of the study was to find out if the work methods differs in work with younger compared to older children. And to see which attitude pre-schoolteachers have to biology in pre-school. The method that is used is surveys, because the purpose was to do a quantitative study to be able to generalize the results. The results shows that the pre-schoolteachers have a positive attitude to biology in pre-school, and they see the subject as exciting, fun and interesting. The results also shows that more than half of the respondents seems to have basic knowledge in biology, but a large part want more knowledge of the subject and wishes to get further education in biology. The pre-schoolteachers also considered that the curriculum for preschool clearly explains how to integrate biology and other science subjects to the preschool program. The result also shows that the work method differs depended on the children’s ages, especially when it comes to the use of biological concepts

Οι εικόνες στη μάθηση βιολογικών εννοιών και φαινομένων : Η περίπτωση των φυσικών : "Ερευνώ και Ανακαλύπτω" της ΣΤ΄ δημοτικού

Σκοπός της παρούσας εργασίας ήταν να μελετήσουμε τις εικόνες στα βιβλία των Φυσικών Επιστημών της ΣΤ΄ Δημοτικού που αναφέρονται σε έννοιες Βιολογίας ως ένα κοινωνικο – εποικοδομιστικό εργαλείο μάθησης. Η μελέτη προσανατολίστηκε σε δύο κατευθύνσεις. Αφενός μεν πώς οι εικόνες παρουσιάζονται στα βιβλία έχοντας κοινωνικά προσδιορισμένη λειτουργία (Σημειωτική προσέγγιση) και αφετέρου πώς τις κατανοούν οι μαθητές και αν μπορούν να λειτουργήσουν ως μέσο μάθησης και οικοδόμησης της γνώσης (Εποικοδομιστική προσέγγιση). Αρχικά οι εικόνες σε όλες τις θεματικές ενότητες της βιολογίας ταξινομήθηκαν ανάλογα με το είδος και τη λειτουργία. Στη συνέχεια επιλέχτηκαν κάποιες εικόνες που αφορούσαν το Αναπνευστικό και Κυκλοφορικό Σύστημα του ανθρώπου οι οποίες παρουσιάστηκαν με το συνοδεύον γραπτό κείμενο στους μαθητές για να δούμε πώς τις διαχειρίζονται, αν τις κατανοούν και τι δυσκολίες αντιμετωπίζουν. Τα αποτελέσματα έδειξαν ότι, (α) Οι εικόνες στα βιβλία ανάλογα με το περιεχόμενο (είδος και λειτουργία) είναι ρεαλιστικές παρά συμβατικές έχοντας ένα παιδαγωγικό ρόλο που συνάδει με την ηλικία των μαθητών και (β) οι μαθητές στις επιλεγμένες εικόνες αντιμετωπίζουν προβλήματα τόσο στη διαχείριση όσο και στην κατανόηση των εικόνων που οφείλονται όχι μόνο στις αδυναμίες που έχουν στην περιοχή της βιολογίας αλλά επιπλέον στην απουσία ικανοτήτων οπτικού γραμματισμού. / The present study aims at analyzing visual images, included in the sixth grade’s Natural Science textbooks, referring in biology concepts as a socio-constructivist learning tool. The analysis took two different approaches; on the one hand, researching how these images are presented in the textbooks while having a social pre-identified function (Semiotics approach) and on the other hand, researching how sixth grade students can understand these images and if they can serve as means of learning and constructing knowledge (Constructivist approach). Initially, the images in all biological topics were classified in relation with their type and function. The research then proceeded by selecting certain images concerning the human Respiratory and Circulatory System, which were presented with accompanying written text to the students in order to determine how they can handle them, if they understand them and what difficulties they face during this process. The results of this research showed that (i) the images in the books depending on their content (type and function) are naturalistic rather than abstract while having a pedagogical function consistent with the age of the students and (ii) the students in selected images encounter problems both in handling and understanding not only due to knowledge deficit in the area of biology but due to the absence of visual literacy skills as well.
