This subject is studied by researchers from various areas of knowledge, generating a large number of documents, such as, journal articles, theses and dissertations. A way to evaluate the science on this subject is analyzing these documents. In this dissertation, through quantitative, descriptive and exploratory methods, it has been conducted two bibliometric analyses. The first regards the scientific production of theses and dissertations with thematic related to traditional knowledge, defended in Brazilian universities and indexed in the CAPES theses Database. The second analysis, carried out on the Web of Science database with articles about the theme Traditional Knowledge , encompassed three searches: (1) articles written by Brazilian authors; (2) international scientific production about Brazil; (3) global production of scientific documents. The bibliometric analysis pointed out that the Federal University of Santa Catarina is the Brazilian institution that has published most of the theses and dissertations on the subject, spotting the Graduate Program in Agroecosystems. Environmental studies were the ones that stood out the most, mainly the areas Ecology and Agronomy. These results suggest the treatment of traditional knowledge as a thematic subordinate to its ecological dimension. / Nas duas últimas décadas, o conhecimento tradicional tem sido objeto de intensa discussão. É estudado por pesquisadores de diversas áreas do conhecimento, gerando um grande número de documentos, tais como: artigos científicos, teses e dissertações. Um modo de avaliar a ciência relativa a este assunto é analisar estes documentos. Nesta dissertação, por meio de métodos quantitativos, descritivos e exploratórios, foram realizadas duas análises bibliométricas. A primeira refere-se à produção científica de teses e dissertações, com temáticas relacionadas ao conhecimento tradicional, defendidas nas universidades brasileiras e indexadas no Banco de Teses da CAPES. A segunda, desenvolvida na base de dados internacional Web of Science com artigos sobre o tema Conhecimento Tradicional , envolveu três buscas: (1) artigos produzidos por brasileiros; (2) produções científicas internacionais sobre o Brasil; (3) produção mundial de documentos. A análise revelou que a Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina é a instituição brasileira que mais publicou teses e dissertações sobre o tema, destacando-se o Programa de Pós-Graduação em Agroecossistemas. Os estudos ligados ao meio ambiente foram os que mais se sobressaíram, principalmente nas áreas de Ecologia e Agronomia. Estes resultados evidenciam o tratamento do conhecimento tradicional como uma temática subordinada à sua dimensão ecológica.
