For this study, two typed versions of the literary work were collated and the main increases found in the comparison of the first with the second typed version were analysed. This research sought to demonstrate that most of the additions and the epigraphs inserted by the writer during the creative process, deal with jewish themes, arising from Moacyr Scliar's cultural and historical heritage / Esta tese tem como corpus os datiloscritos da novela Os volunt?rios, de Moacyr Scliar, com base nos fundamentos te?ricos da cr?tica gen?tica. Para este estudo, foram cotejadas as duas vers?es datiloscritas da obra e analisados os principais acr?scimos encontrados na compara??o da primeira com a segunda vers?o datiloscritas. Buscou-se demonstrar neste trabalho que a maioria dos acr?scimos e as ep?grafes inseridas pelo escritor, durante o processo criativo, tratam da tem?tica judaica, advindas da heran?a cultural e hist?rica de Moacyr Scliar
