We seek to investigate the decisive stages of this form of judgment through a historical approach, which enabled us to identify who are the authorities responsible for the enrollment of prospective jurors and what were the criteria used in accordance with pertinent legislation. Thus, we understand the problems faced since the early nineteenth century, when this system of justice administration in Brazil was implanted. Based on these indicators, we can depict the steps of the current dynamics of organization of the list of jurors as well as evaluating the participation of citizens through the data present in the years following the Jury s Reform with the implementation of the Law 11.689/08. / Na presente pesquisa analisamos a forma pela qual o Tribunal do J?ri seleciona pessoas para atuar como jurados no Brasil. Buscamos investigar as etapas decisivas desta forma de julgamento atrav?s de uma abordagem hist?rica, o que nos possibilitou identificar quem s?o as autoridades respons?veis pelo alistamento dos poss?veis jurados e quais foram os crit?rios utilizados segundo as legisla??es pertinentes. Desta forma, compreendemos os problemas enfrentados desde o in?cio do s?culo XIX em que houve a implanta??o desse sistema de administra??o de justi?a no Brasil. Com base nesses indicadores, podemos retratar as etapas da atual din?mica de organiza??o da lista de jurados bem como avaliar a participa??o dos cidad?os atrav?s dos dados presentes nos anos posteriores ? Reforma do J?ri com a aplica??o da Lei 11.689/08.
