Fundação de Amparo a Pesquisa do Estado de Minas Gerais / Em busca de compreender o complexo processo de escolarização de uma comunidade rural, especificamente o povoado do Ribeirão de Conceição Carangola/MG, essa pesquisa faz uma incursão nos fragmentos da história local, em diálogo permanente com a memória dessa gente. As pessoas foram chegando ao sabor da conversa que puxa conversa. Com ela, a vida foi sendo tecida, destecida e retecida mostrando uma complexa paisagem que merecia ser vista de vários lugares e em diferentes tempos. Cada pessoa trazia um fio desse tecido histórico, realçando algumas tramas, escondendo outras, atando nós que se encontravam frouxos, desatando outros que as incomodavam, acreditando que assim poderiam compreender melhor as histórias cotidianas que o discurso oficial, ainda não sabe, ou não quis contar. Foi preciso fazer viagens por caminhos nem sempre tranqüilos. E, além disso, fez-se necessário estabelecer parceria com o tempo, onde passado e presente se misturavam, no tempo da vida. À medida que se caminhava nessa história local, andando para frente e para trás com os sujeitos dessa história, ia-se percebendo que essa história (1914 a 2003) é atravessada por migrantes, que entram e alteram o local. Esses migrantes movidos por vários interesses, vão potencializando essa comunidade a conquistar ainda que devagarzinho a educação básica. Trançando falas desses sujeitos, práticas de professores leigos, ex-alunos e documentos oficiais, foi possível fazer uma outra leitura desse lugar. Foi possível entender que a roça não é lugar do atraso e nem da mesmice. Foi possível saber que a roça ou campo anseia por novidades mas não abre mão de suas tradições. Essa ambigüidade indicia que a roça e seus sujeitos precisam ser vistos com outros olhos e não mais com o olhar simplificador que o paradigma da modernidade nos ensinou. Quando dispostos estamos a exercitar o olhar sensível, por isso carregado de rigor, podemos descobrir que a roça é espaço-tempo em movimento, onde observação e intuição, criação e recriação são elementos (re)alimentadores de força, sonhos, lutas e conquistas. / With the objective of understanding the complex of the scholarship process of a rural community, people from Ribeirão da Conceição, Carangola/MG, this research makes a foray in the fragments of the local history in a permanent dialogue with memory of those the people. People were arriving for a chat and the life that has been built there. The community shows a complex view that deserves be seen in different places and times. Each person brings a historical line emphasizes plots, hides others, ties knots, untie others, so, people believe that they could better understand their daily history better than the official speech could know or couldnt tell about. The research went through anxious ways and besides that it needs to stablish a relationship with the time, where the present and the past blended in life time. The people went ahead like characters of the history. It was possible to notice that this period (1914 to 2003) is crossed by immigrants that went away and let their marks. These people came with their own objectives and slowly they conquered the basic education. Crossing the peoples chats, teachers works and official documents was possible to understand that the country is about to have news, but it still tied to its traditions. This ambiguity indicates that the country an its subjects must not be seen with a simple look of the documents. When we are up to look at the country with sensitive eyes, we can realize that it is a movement of space-time, where the observations, intuition, creation are food for strengh, dreams and fights.
