En el Perú, cada día mueren 2 mujeres debido a las complicaciones del embarazo, parto y posparto. Según las estimaciones del Ministerio de Salud, mueren por hemorragias graves, infecciones, complicaciones en el parto y abortos; de los cuales el 85% de estas muertes pueden ser prevenidas. El distrito de San Juan de Lurigancho se caracteriza por tener más de un millón de habitantes y por ende una tasa de natalidad alta. Según el Ministerio de salud, el 45% de los partos son asistidos en el distrito del Centro de Lima; mientras que el 55% de partos asistidos ocurren dentro del distrito. Dicho esto, se propone un Centro Materno Infantil en el Distrito de San Juan de Lurigancho de Categoría I-4, para cubrir las necesidades de un usuario desatendido: La mujer en edad fértil, la embarazada y el niño. El proyecto tiene como énfasis los espacios intermedios, en el cual se aplique el modelo de atención basadas en las familias, ya que estos involucran a las familias en todo el proceso del paciente, ayudando a la rápida recuperación de este. Como concepto inicial del proyecto se consideró la organización de los espacios en base a los requerimientos de la mujer: Promoción y Prevención, Tratamiento y control, y Cuidado; mediante un espacio transición que vincula las tres etapas de una mujer embarazada. / In Peru, 2 women die every day due to complications of pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. According to the estimates of the Ministry of Health, they die from serious hemorrhages, infections, complications in childbirth and abortions; of which 85% of these deaths can be prevented. The district of San Juan de Lurigancho is characterized by having more than one million inhabitants and therefore a high birth rate. Currently, Peru has one of the highest rates of maternal deaths in the region. This generates low trust between foreign investors. It is crucial to invest in health and, particularly, in women's health. It is for this reason that this thesis seeks to provide a solution to the serious lack of maternal and child centers from a technical and architectural point of view. The document is a compilation of information on the subject of health, infrastructure, history and especially the current reality of the health system for women and children. In addition, it is a guideline of techniques, regulations and models of how to make a center of this kind in an economically feasible way. / En la actualidad, el Perú tiene uno de los índices más altos en muertes maternas en la región. Este indicador genera a su vez una disminución en la confiabilidad por parte de inversores extranjeros. Al invertir en salud y particularmente en este tema, es de suma importancia. Es por esta razón que esta tesis busca dar una solución a la grave carencia de centros maternos infantiles desde el punto de vista técnico y arquitectónico. El documento es una recopilación de información sobre el tema de salud, infraestructura, historia y sobre todo la realidad actual del sistema de salud para la mujer y el niño. Además, es una guía y pauta de técnicas, reglamentos y modelos de cómo hacer un centro de este tipo de una manera económicamente factible y que de beneficios a los usuarios. / Tesis
