With the relationships between histories and memoirs, initially, it problematizes works of local memorialists, news of the press and materials of popularization of the public power, looking for to identify which are the projects and memoirs that are configured while hegemonic in the city. In a second moment working with depositions, it interprets the residents' speeches, looking for to give visibility other histories and memoirs in dispute in the city. It brings for the dialogue the memories and these residents' paths, formulated along the process of constitution of the city. And doing of the city while space of interests and fights. The work appears for as the urban conflicts for the home, for the search of better life conditions, it puts in movement actions unchained by this population that they originate social demands that they belong to the place / O presente trabalho analisa a construção das memórias do Município de Franco da Rocha, situado na Grande São Paulo, sua relação com as representações públicas da cidade, cuja centralidade foi se constituindo a partir do Hospital Psiquiátrico do Juqueri. Problematizando as relações entre histórias e memórias, inicialmente, problematiza obras de memorialistas locais, trabalhos acadêmicos, notícias da imprensa e materiais de divulgação do poder público, buscando identificar, quais são os projetos e memórias que se configuram enquanto hegemônicas na cidade. Num segundo momento trabalhando com depoimentos, interpreta as falas dos moradores, buscando dar visibilidade a outras histórias e memórias em disputa na cidade. Trazendo para o diálogo as lembranças e trajetórias destes moradores, formuladas ao longo do processo de constituição da cidade. Problematiza o fazer-se da cidade enquanto espaço de interesses e lutas. O trabalho aponta para como os conflitos urbanos pela moradia, pela busca de melhores condições de vida, põe em movimento ações desencadeada por esta população, que originam demandas sociais que firmam seu pertencimento em relação ao local
