This thesis is concerned with finding the optimal proposal and the use of marketing principles to selected tradesman Honza Matyáš. Mr. Matyáš is engaged in custom manufacturing of products of blacksmithing. The main objective is to analyze the current state of trade, Mr Matyáš, identify key factors that influence its activity and subsequent design of such steps in the implementation of marketing activities, which positively affects awareness of the activities of Mr. Matyáš, will boost sales and promote its good name.

This thesis presents the results of a longitudinal study of a painting class for a group of mentally retarded and physically handicapped young adults. The author's observational journal and the students' paintings provided the basis of the thesis. The author gave maximum freedom to her students and the students fully exercised creativity through their painting activity. Eventually each student created his own style in his painting. This experience brought a new identity to the group. The students evolved from a collection of separate people into a cohesive social unit. The author tries to show, in this developmental process, how intellectual and emotional events and probless were met and solved by the students in their painting activity. Painting is seen as a powerful medium of communication and expression for the students. In order to esphasize this point, the author used three case histories which include 132 pictures presented in VOL. II.

Thesis (MA (VA)(Visual Arts))--University of Stellenbosch, 2006. / This investigation uses an object relations psychoanalytic framework to explore ways that art embodies both social and personal meaning. The relationship between the non- verbal experience of art and the pre-verbal realm of infancy is explored and linked to bodily, perceptual and inner forms of non-discursive knowledge which are of value for the subject. The study investigates how this inner experience is related through art to language and representation as aspects of external experience. The study argues that these two dimensions, the inner/bodily and the outer/linguistic, are held together in the art object which, as metaphor, is a conjoined structure that embodies the maternal and paternal realms in paradoxical and dynamic interplay. The art object, which elicits imaginary and phantasied responses from the viewer, serves both the self (through presentational symbols) and social needs (through representational symbols), thus allowing the creation and communication of new meanings.

My thesis exhibition is comprised of approximately eleven large-scale portrait paintings done primarily in oil paint on canvas. This body of work investigates the ways the identity of both artist and subject can coexist in a portrait and evolved from my desire to combine portrait painting with writing as well as to develop methods of using paint to express a merging of myself with the individual depicted in the portrait. My creative research has focused on the traditional form of the portrait as a powerful form of representing an individual and how meaning can be expanded through scale, brushstroke, color, texture, composition and the many variables that portraiture deals with. I expanded on the traditional portrait painting by cataloguing my memories and thoughts along with the thoughts of the subject by painting under, into and over the subject in my own handwriting. This thesis is intended to disrupt society's social cruise control. The goal is to make people stop and think, even if only for a brief moment, about the social conventions that guide and control their daily lives. People become disconnected from one another and their environments through repetition, apathy, and a general obliviousness toward shared moments. Making people more attuned to these moments - essentially creating an opportunity to take a brief pause - as a step toward reconnection. Social conventions are unique in that they can exist without the consent of the involved parties; the existence of the convention is enough to demand conformity. While it is possible to find graphic design projects that offer some degree of interactivity to draw people into a relationship with a space, projects that encourage social relationships through acknowledgment between people are rare.
