The diploma thesis Marketing Magazines in 1990-2011 in the Czech Republic deals with magazines devoted to the field of marketing published between 1990 and 2011 in the Czech Republic in the context of the transformation and development of society, economy and media. The main goal of the thesis is to analyze the field and development of marketing magazines in the mentioned period. First, the thesis deals with the social and economic changes after 1989 as the prerequisites for constitution and historical development of marketing and media market and subsequently, by method of historical-comparative analysis, it analyzes selected editorial, formal and content characteristics of marketing magazines. In addition to magazines published in the years 1990-2011, the thesis also deals with titles from the period before 1989, which we could consider their predecessors. Last but not least, the thesis deals with selected online competitors of marketing printed periodicals, which have occurred and developed in the studied time period.

In this paper, I investigated the influence of the existing political power on the economical and social development of the state. The paper went deeper into positive and negative effects, state of economy within the years since the establishment of the Republic of Belarus, dominating social tendencies and the ways of improving the existing situation. The last part of the thesis presented analysis of whether Belarus is ready to enter European Union, as some of its members have already done ( Poland, Lithuania), why/why not. I assess that my own ideas contribute by approximately 30 % to the presented text.

Installation of reactive compensators is widely used for improving power system voltage stability. Reactive compensation also improves the system loading margin resulting in more stable and reliable operation. The improvements in system performance are highly dependent on the location where the reactive compensation is placed in the system. This paper compares three load flow analysis methods - PV curve analysis, QV sensitivity analysis, and Continuation Load Flow - in identifying system weak buses for placing reactive compensation. The methods are applied to three IEEE test systems, including modified IEEE 14-bus system, IEEE 30-bus system, and IEEE 57-bus system. Locations of reactive compensation and corresponding improvements in loading margin and voltages in each test system obtained by the three methods are compared. The author also analyzes the test systems to locate the optimal placement of reactive compensation that yields the maximum loading margin. The results when compared with brute force placement of reactive compensation show the relationship between effectiveness of the three methods and topology of the test systems.

Le nombre de nouvelles espèces bactériennes identifiées augmente constamment. L'un des facteurs les plus importants de cette situation est l'approche culturomique. Par conséquent, la nécessité de classifier et de décrire taxonomiquement ces microorganismes pour comprendre leur évolution, leurs caractéristiques et leurs relations avec d'autres organismes vivants a émergé. À ce jour, plus de 170000 génomes bactériens sont disponibles. Face à cette situation, la taxonomie bactérienne ne peut être éloignée des informations fournies par le génome entier. La stratégie taxonogénomique a été élaborée dans notre laboratoire pour inclure les séquences du génome dans le schéma taxonomique. Cette nouvelle stratégie consiste en la combinaison de diverses données phénotypiques, et l'analyse génomique et la comparaison, aboutissant à une description rationnelle et complète de nouveaux taxons bactériens. Un deuxième aspect de notre travail de thèse a été l'analyse pangénomique de Coxiella burnetii. Profitant de la disponibilité de 75 génomes de C. burnetii, nous avons montré que ce pangénome est ouvert, ce qui s’oppose à ceux des autres bactéries intracellulaires. Aucun contenu génique spécifique à une maladie, ou à un géovar spécifique n'a pu être identifié. En revanche, l'analyse phylogénétique basée sur le core génome correspondait à celle obtenue à partir du typage. Ainsi, nous démontrons ici que le séquençage du génome peut être bien adapté à la description officielle ainsi que l'analyse pangénomique des bactéries associées à l'homme, et permettre de répondre à de nombreuses questions microbiologiques telles que l'évolution, la résistance aux antibiotiques et la pathogénicité. / The number of new identified bacterial species is constantly increasing. One of the most important contributors to this situation is the microbial culturomics approach. Consequently, the need to classify and taxonomically describe those microorganisms to understand their evolution, characteristics and relationships with other living organisms has emerged. To date, more than 170000 bacterial genomes are available. Facing this situation, bacterial taxonomy cannot be disconnected from the information provided from the whole genome. The taxono-genomics strategy was elaborated in our laboratory to include genome sequences in the taxonomic scheme. This new strategy consists in the combination of various phenotypic data and genomic analysis and comparison, resulting in a rational and comprehensive description of new bacterial taxa. A second aspect of our thesis work was the pangenomic analysis of Coxiella burnetii. Taking advantage of the availability of 75 C. burnetii genomes, we showed that this pangenome is open, which contrasts with those of other intracellular bacteria. No disease-specific, or geovar-specific gene content could be identified. In contrast, the core gene-based phylogenetic analysis matched that obtained from multi-spacer typing. Thus, we herein demonstrate that genome sequencing may, among its many applications, be well suited for the official description as well as pangenome analysis of human-associated bacteria, including pathogens, and may allow addressing many microbiological questions, such as evolution, outbreaks, antibiotic resistance, and pathogenicity.

A dissertação discute a abordagem de conceitos de construção geométrica nos livros didáticos dos anos finais do ensino fundamental do Brasil e Canadá. Para isso, pesquisamos o papel da construção geométrica na educação, da utilização dos livros didáticos e a relevância da análise comparativa na área. As fontes utilizadas foram os documentos oficiais: orientações curriculares brasileiras (PCN) e canadenses (the Ontario Curriculum); quatro coleções de livros: Projeto Teláris, Matemática na Medida Certa, Nelson Mathematics e Math Makes Sense; guia do livro didático (Brasil e Canadá). Usando a análise documental como modalidade de pesquisa, buscamos responder à pergunta: como os saberes relacionados ao desenho geométrico são representados em cada coleção e quais as principais diferenças e semelhanças entre os livros didáticos brasileiros e canadenses? Concluímos que algumas obras se destacam, como Projeto Teláris e Math Makes Sense, pois se aproximam das orientações de seus respectivos currículos. Encontramos, também, poucas construções comuns a todas as obras, apenas circunferência e triângulo, e que o conteúdo de construção geométrica por muitas vezes encontra-se incompleto nas coleções. / The dissertation discusses the approach of geometric construction concepts in both Brazilian and Canadian mathematics textbooks in the final years of elementary school. A study was conduct on the role of geometric construction and the use of textbooks, as well as the relevance of comparative analysis within the discipline. The research primary sources were based on official documents, including the Brazilian curricular orientation (PCN) and the Canadian one (the Ontario Curriculum); four textbook collections: Projeto Teláris, Matemática na Medida Certa, Nelson Mathematics and Math Makes Sense; and the guide of textbooks (Brazil and Canada).The method used to carry out the research is documental analysis, and the goal of the study is to identify and explain how the content of geometric shapes are represented on each book collection and which are the main differences and similarities between Brazilian and Canadian textbooks. The findings showed that the book Projeto Teláris and Math Makes Sense stand out for following their respective curricular orientations. It was also concluded that only a small amount of shapes were common to all textbooks, specifically circle and triangle, and that the geometric construction content is, in great majority, incomplete in all colections.

This diploma thesis contains an economic analysis of the PIVOVAR SVIJANY, a.s. The aim is to perform a scoped analysis of its financial health. The diploma thesis is divided into two main parts. The first is the methodological part, where all of the applied models and processes are mentioned and explained. The second part contains applications of these models on the chosen company. The second part is mostly based on accounting statements. This part also contains an analysis of both absolute and relative indicators. Among the applied models belongs the Du Pont analysis, the cost and inventory analysis, the analysis of the Economic Value Added (EVA), creditworthy and bankruptcy models and an inter industry comparative analysis. The conclusion summarizes and evaluates all the results and presents appropriate recommendation.

Jevgenija Adamová, Porovnávací analýza sémantických polí a významů barev na základě české, litevské a ruské frazeologie Abstract (in English): Presented dissertation concerns the topic of idioms contenting color(s) in Czech, Russian and Lithuanian languages. dissertation pursues the categories of colours such as: white; black; pink; red; green; gray or grey; yellow; blue; light blue, azure or sky-blue; brown and colour; likewise two "shades", as we decided to call them, such as light and dark and their equivalents in researched languages. Primary language of dissertation is Czech. Theoretical section offers a short introduction to issues dissertation deales with such as tradition of phraseologycal science in the Czech, Russian and Lithuanian languages and the traditions of the phraseography of those nations. It deals more in detail with Lithuanian phraseography since it was not as well researched in Czech dissertations, as other two were. The practical section of the thesis focuses on analysis of sematical fields of the categories of colours pursued. The purpose of this study was to compare Registered Nurse (RN) current and future demand between Tennessee rural and urban licensed hospitals and nursing homes. Comparisons of Registered Nurse demand by principal duty or position and by educational level were also undertaken. The educational level of RNs was examined using the proportion of RNs at each of five educational levels: diploma, associate, baccalaureate, master's, and doctorate. The variables examined were 1988 and 1989 vacancy rates and proportion of budgeted positions, change in vacancy rates and proportions from 1988 to 1989, projected changes in positions and proportions from 1988 to 1992 and to 1995. Nurse administrators from one hundred fifty four hospitals (63% response rate) and two hundred twelve nursing homes (72% response rate) were surveyed for responses about current and future RN demand. This study is a secondary analysis of data that were collected as a part of a larger research project conducted by the Tennessee Board of Regents Task Force on Nurse Supply and Demand. The findings were that rural hospitals had significantly higher vacancy rates for total nurse positions in 1988 and general duty positions in 1989. Urban hospital administrators reported higher vacancy rates for RN positions at the diploma level and projected significantly greater changes in clinical specialist and master's level positions for 1992 and 1995. Rural hospitals had a higher proportion of associate degree nurses in 1989, and urban hospitals had a higher percentage of master's prepared RNs for 1988 and 1989. Urban hospitals projected a greater change in the proportion of RNs at the doctoral level for 1995. Rural nursing homes projected higher numbers of associate degree nurses for 1992 and 1995. The major conclusion was that the nursing shortage in Tennessee hospitals was more severe than that reported on the national level and greater in rural hospitals. The shortage in Tennessee nursing homes was reported to be much less acute than the national shortage, and the critical shortages were limited to a few facilities, both rural and urban.
