Fernández Canales, Ambar Teresa 06 December 2018 (has links)
The objective of the present investigation is to know the relationship between academic stress and academic commitment, in a group of university students of psychology degree between the third and the twelfth cycle. A total of 200 students participated in this research (Men = 37%, Women = 63%), whose ages oscillate between 18 and 42 years (M = 21.40, SD = .484). For the collection of information, a sociodemographic record, the SISCO Inventory of academic stress (Barraza, 2007) and Utrecht Work Engagement Student - Scale (Schaufeli & Bakker, 2003) were used. Among the results, it was found that the more frequently the symptoms or reactions to the stressor are presented, the lower the levels are in the three factors of the Academic Commitment scale. In addition, it was found that the higher frequency in which classroom demands are valued as stressor stimuli, the lower the levels of vigor and dedication factors, while the higher frequency in which the demands of the environment outside the classroom are valued as stressors, the lower the levels of vigor and absorption factors. Regarding the Academic Commitment scale, it was found that with greater vigor, there is greater absorption. / Tesis
