A presente pesquisa analisa a validade de interpretações liberais relacionadas ao fenômeno cooperativo bilateral entre Brasil e Argentina no âmbito nuclear. A partir de uma contextualização abrangente, demonstra-se a forma como se arquitetou, na década de 80, a multilateralização das políticas externas nucleares dos referidos países, bem como apontam-se os ajustes destas políticas ocorridas na década de 90. Também, discute-se, neste trabalho, como aconteceu a adesão do Brasil e da Argentina em regimes nucleares restritivos, reconhecendo as variáveis sistêmicas incidentes sobre esta escolha. Por fim, são discutidas as expectativas de aprofundamento deste relacionamento interestatal. / This research analyses the validity of some liberal interpretations of the bilateral cooperative political phenomenon between Brazil and Argentina in the nuclear field. This work demonstrates how it was skillfully constructed the multilateral approach of the nuclear foreign policies of both countries in the 80s and how this pattern has changed in the 90s. Also, the reasons why Brazil and Argentina adhered to some restrictive treaties (such as NPT) are discussed very deeply. At last, some comments were made about the expectations relating to the future of this bilateral nuclear relation.
