Detention and its role in international migration of foreigners in the Czech Republic Aims of thesis are evaluation of detention, its influence and role in migration processes of foreigners in Czech Republic, as a restrictive action against irregular migration which is applied within common homecoming politics of EU countries, followed by analysis of conditions and informal structures which are related to irregular migration issues in Czech Republic. Individual aims are accomplished in two steps. At first is discussed present knowledge of detention, its part in migration processes, and theoretical definition of irregular migration's and detention's issues. In theoretical section of diploma project is considered mainly the detention's function in migration process from the point of view of migration concepts, negative impact of irregular migration, smuggling and trafficking, client system, EU migration politics' approach to irregular migration, migration politics' restrictive instrument and measures leading to criminalization, securitization and extraterritoriality of irregular migration, law regulation of detention and its application within detention facilities in Czech republic. The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe and analyze legal regulation of individual income tax in the Czech Republic and in the United States, to compare the legal regulation in both countries and to assess the possibility of implementation of certain institutes of American federal tax law in the Czech Republic. The first chapter of this thesis deals with tax issues in general and with basic tax law terminology. The second chapter briefly describes elementary organization of the tax system and the structure of taxes in the Czech Republic and in the United States. The third chapter of this thesis discusses in more detail legal regulation of individual income tax in the Czech Republic according to individual elements of the tax construction. This chapter is divided into five subchapters, which deal with individual elements of the tax construction. Diploma thesis "Magazines dedicated to golf issues" is devoted to questions of publishing golf magazines in former Czechoslovakia and in the Czech Republic. The key aim of this work is based on detailed mapping of all journals devoted to this issue in the period since the establishment of Czechoslovakia until year 2011. This work records the detailed historical development of golf in the Czech Republic, points out all problems that hit the golf during 20th century. Single chapters are devoted to all golf journals which had been published in former Czechoslovakia and ones which have been published in the Czech Republic. Significant space is devoted to magazines Slovanský golf and Sportovní Revue which were published during the First republic era. Further chapters mention post-war periodicals, and the last part of this work includes all golf magazines, which have been published after the Velvet revolution.

The master thesis "Czech women on their way to emancipation" is dealing with the changes of Czech society which took place during the 19th and 20th century and which are influencing the contemporary Czech society until today. This thesis is putting contemporary gender - topics in connection with political background, equal possibilities of men and women in the public and in the private sphere of life. The work is dealing with three main topics. The first is speaking about the historical development and traditional opinions on the role of women and men. The second topic is focussed on the period of the Czechoslovak socialist state and the third part is focussed on the Czech society of today.

This diploma thesis focuses on the topic of regional unemployment in the Czech Republic during the economic crisis of 2008 - 2011. Briefly describes the evolution and causes of unemployment in this period at the regional level of ORP and looks closer at the labor market in one of the most affected regions in these times of crisis. Unemployment is a matter affecting the life and position in society each of us. The unemployment rate is a widely used indicator of the maturity economies of states and their regions. In connection with the lingering economic crisis, the unemployment problem has become a widely discussed issue, in particular the differences in unemployment rates across regions of countries. This diploma thesis focuses on the topic of regional unemployment in the Czech Republic during the economic crisis of 2008 - 2011, and aims to gain insight into the evolution of the unemployment rate in the most affected region of the Czech Republic in these times of crisis.

The thesis presents the educational and psychological profiling of the juvenile delinquent. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of the juvenile delinquency, its specifics and developmental trends in this field. Next, it deals with the description of the juvenile's profiling from the perspective of the developmental psychology and then with the explanation where juvenile delinquency stems from. The empirical part deals with the results of the qualitative research collected in the center of the Probation and Mediation Service of the Czech Republic. The research is realized by the combination of three methods - the content analysis of documents, the semi structured interview and Tarter questionnaire in order to get anamnestic data about chosen clients of the Probation and Mediation Service of the Czech Republic and to find out the most hazardous areas of their lifes.

CONSTITUTIONAL REVIEW OF THE LIMITS OF POWERS OF THE EU IN THE CR AND GERMANY (THE LISBON TREATY AND FURTHER DEVELOPMENT) The purpose of the thesis is to analyze the case-law of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic and the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany relevant to the question of the relationship between Union law and national law, paying attention especially to the problematic area of ultra vires review claims, ie to the right of the constitutional court of a Member State to take the final decision whether an act of any European institution exceeds powers that have been transferred from the Member States to the EU according to the Treaties. The thesis consists beside introduction and conclusion of four chapters. Chapter one introduces the key provisions of the national constitutions both in Germany and in the Czech Republic, which allow to the Member States to delegate some of their sovereign powers to the EU. Chapter two deals with earlier decisions of both constitutional courts regarding the matter of EU law (before the Lisbon judgement) and points out the leading premises which were most important for the future development of the case-law on relationship between Union law and national law. The title of the presented thesis is The Media Image of the Czech Republic in the English-speaking World. The media image of the Czech Republic is analyzed in three different English-written newspapers. The chosen newspapers are USA Today, The Daily Mail and The Australian. The overall goal of the thesis is to compare media images which are constructed by defined periodicals and it is reached by checking of the hypotheses which are defined in the introduction and thanks to the comparison of data gathered during the research. The theoretical part of the thesis anchors the work itself within contemporary theories and academic approaches. The news production with international news flows included are described in the theoretical chapter along with stereotypes and their relation to media images. The whole chapter is ended by subchapter about hard and soft news and subchapter about evaluation in media. The analytical part of the thesis begins with a description of a used research method and a definition of used data. Subsequently, there is a detailed description of used variables. The very last part of the whole paper presents complex results of the research, the hypotheses are proved or falsified and the differences among the media image of the analyzed newspapers are described.
