Shluková analýza pro funkcionální data / Cluster analysis for functional data

Zemanová, Barbora January 2012 (has links)
In this work we deal with cluster analysis for functional data. Functional data contain a set of subjects that are characterized by repeated measurements of a variable. Based on these measurements we want to split the subjects into groups (clusters). The subjects in a single cluster should be similar and differ from subjects in the other clusters. The first approach we use is the reduction of data dimension followed by the clustering method K-means. The second approach is to use a finite mixture of normal linear mixed models. We estimate parameters of the model by maximum likelihood using the EM algorithm. Throughout the work we apply all described procedures to real meteorological data.

Riziková averze v eficienci portfolia / Risk aversion in portfolio efficiency

Puček, Samuel January 2019 (has links)
This thesis deals with selecting the optimal portfolio for a risk averse investor. Firstly, we present the risk measures, specifically spectral risk me- asures which consider an individual risk aversion of the investor. Then we propose a diversification-consistent data envelopment analysis model. The model is searching for an efficient portfolio with respect to second-order sto- chastic dominance. The crux of the thesis is a model based on the theory of multi-criteria optimization and spectral risk measures. The presented mo- del is searching for an optimal portfolio suitable for the investor with a given risk aversion. In addition, the optimal portfolio is also consistent with second- order stochastic dominance efficiency. The topic of the practical part is a nu- merical study in which both models are implemented in MATLAB. Models are applied to a dataset from real financial markets. Personal contribution lies in comparing the diversification-consistent data envelopment analysis model and model based on multi-criteria optimization, both with respect to second order stochastic dominance efficiency.

Animals At Burgaz In The Classical Period From The Evidence Of Faunal Remains

Aydin, Mahmut No 01 September 2004 (has links) (PDF)
For this thesis the animal bones collected from the archaeological excavations at the ancient site of Burgaz have been analyzed for the study of animal exploitation, human diet, social differentiation and the environment of Burgaz and Dat&ccedil / a during the Classical Period. Comparison of the results with evidence from other sites to determine the extent to which there might have been local trends in animal husbandry. Because this kind of a research is not common among archaeologists specialising in the classical period the methodology and each process of the laboratory work has been set out. Burgaz/Dat&ccedil / a is a coastal settlement but sea products do not have an important place in the human diet of the Dat&ccedil / a Burgaz inhabitants. After analysis of the Burgaz bones it was determined that domestic cattle, sheep/goat, pig, horse, donkey and dog were present alongside wild goat, wild pig, fallow deer, red deer, roe deer, badger and birds as well as fish and shellfish from the sea. More than half of the bones that were identified, 220 of 430, come from floor filling levels beneath floors. It was understood that these bones were in filling materials that were brought from dump site(s). Among these bones were some worked cattle bones which have close parallels with Roman period finds at Sagalassos. Because of most of identified bones come from filling levels beneath floors it was not possible to reach definite conclusions about social hierarchy at ancient Burgaz. Sheep/goat and cattle were kept for their secondary products, such as milk, wool and power. They were slaughtered in their old age by experienced people and played an important place in diet of the Burgaz inhabitants. Pigs, on the other hand, were slaughtered when young. From the wild species found in the Classical and Hellenistic Periods it can be said that the Dat&ccedil / a environment was diverse enough to accommodate a range of wild animals whose habitat indicates the existence of forested areas (with large leafed and coniferous trees) as well as of meadows and grasslands.

Integrace a konzumace důvěryhodných Linked Data / Towards Trustworthy Linked Data Integration and Consumption

Knap, Tomáš January 2013 (has links)
Title: Towards Trustworthy Linked Data Integration and Consumption Author: RNDr. Tomáš Knap Department: Department of Software Engineering Supervisor: RNDr. Irena Holubová, PhD., Department of Software Engineering Abstract: We are now finally at a point when datasets based upon open standards are being published on an increasing basis by a variety of Web communities, governmental initiatives, and various companies. Linked Data offers information consumers a level of information integration and aggregation agility that has up to now not been possible. Consumers can now "mashup" and readily integrate information for use in a myriad of alternative end uses. Indiscriminate addition of information can, however, come with inherent problems, such as the provision of poor quality, inaccurate, irrelevant or fraudulent information. All will come with associated costs of the consumed data which will negatively affect data consumer's benefit and Linked Data applications usage and uptake. In this thesis, we address these issues by proposing ODCleanStore, a Linked Da- ta management and querying tool able to provide data consumers with Linked Data, which is cleansed, properly linked, integrated, and trustworthy accord- ing to consumer's subjective requirements. Trustworthiness of data means that the data has associated...

Modelování globálních barotropních oceánských slapů v časové oblasti / Time-domain modelling of global barotropic ocean tides

Einšpigel, David January 2017 (has links)
Traditionally, ocean tides have been modelled in frequency domain with forcing of selected tidal constituents. It is a natural approach, however, non-linearities of ocean dynamics are implicitly neglected. An alternative approach is time-domain modelling with forcing given by the full lunisolar potential, i.e., all tidal constituents are included. This approach has been applied in several ocean tide models, however, a few challenging tasks still remain to solve, for example, the assimilation of satellite altimetry data. In this thesis, we present DEBOT, a global and time-domain barotropic ocean tide model with the full lunisolar forcing. DEBOT has been developed "from scratch". The model is based on the shallow water equations which are newly derived in geographical (spherical) coordinates. The derivation includes the boundary conditions and the Reynolds tensor in a physically consistent form. The numerical model employs finite differences in space and a generalized forward-backward scheme in time. The validity of the code is demonstrated by the tests based on integral invariants. DEBOT has two modes for ocean tide modelling: DEBOT-h, a purely hydrodynamical mode, and DEBOT-a, an assimilative mode. We introduce the assimilative scheme applicable in a time-domain model, which is an alternative to existing...

Aplikace metod strojového učení na dolování znalosti z dat

Kraus, Jan January 2014 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the area of data mining applied to large collections of textual data. Specifically the thesis is focused on sentiment analysis based on the user's subjective verbal assessment in natural language. The first part of the diploma thesis introduces the reader to basic terms of machine learning and data mining applied particularly to large textual data collections. Following is the description of textual data preprocessing methods and principles of machine learning algorithms. In the practical part of this thesis there are experiments designed and subsequently executed using the SPSS Modeler tool. The experimental part is focused especially on identification of significant attributes and recongnition of relationships between them. The emphasis is put especially on thorough interpretation of the results obtained.

Identification of factors of business cycle synchronization within the EU

Irmann, David January 2015 (has links)
The objective of the thesis is to assess business cycle correlation and convergence in the European Union. The thesis also examines the effect of structural conver-gence, intra-industry trade intensity and other factors upon the above mentioned convergence of economic activities. For this purpose, the correlation analysis and panel data regression analysis are implemented. The results show positive influence of intra-industry trade intensity, whereas structural convergence indices report ra-ther unstable and heterogeneous outcomes.

Digitální steganografie / Digital Steganography

KOCIÁNOVÁ, Helena January 2009 (has links)
Digital steganography is a technique for hiding data mostly into multimedia files (images, audio, video). With the development of information technology this technique has found its use in the field of copyright protection and secret data transfer, could be even applied in places where is limited possibility of using cryptography (e. g. by law). This thesis gives insight into digital steganography and contains an application using this technique.
