Para alcançar esse objetivo mais abrangente, elegi alguns objetivos específicos que são: 1.Fazer um levantamento das principais características da dança realizada nesse meio; 2. Identificar qual é a concepção de arte e de dança dos participantes desses grupos. E por último, 3. Conhecer e analisar o que motiva a realização desses eventos nacionais. A pesquisa de campo foi realizada em quatro festivais evangélicos de projeção nacional: "Festival Louveira" (Louveira, SP); "Encontrarte" (Ibiúna, SP); "Resgatarte" (Brasília, DF) e "Festival Rhema" (Goiânia, GO). Sendo que os dois primeiros são realizados na região sudeste e os dois últimos na região centro-oeste. Pautada numa perspectiva qualitativa, foram aplicados cento e vinte questionários, vinte entrevistas via e-mail e quatro entrevistas realizadas pessoalmente com os organizadores desses eventos dos eventos pesquisados. ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This research aims to comprehend dance as an artistic and cultural event in the Christiancontemporary Protestant environment from the discourse of practitioners. To achieve thisoverarching goal, I have chosen some specific objectives which are: First: Conduct a literaturereview on the relationship between dance and the Christian religion and its implications;Second: Make a survey of the main features of the dance performed in this setting; Third:Identify what is the conception of art and dance of the participants in those groups; and fourth:to know and to analyze what motivates the achievement of these national events. The fieldresearch was conducted in four major Brazilian evangelical festivals: “Louveira Festival”(Louveira, SP); “Encontrarte” (Ibiúna, SP); “Resgatarte” (Brasília, DF) and “Festival Rhema”(Goiânia, GO); the first ones took place in the Southeast, and the last one in the Midwest. Aqualitative perspective that had one hundred and twenty questionnaires guided this research;twenty interviews via email and four interviews with the organizers of these events surveyedwere applied.

The purpose of this research is to understand the importance of the sacred rituals of an ancient culture. The Bororo community is a native society found in Mato Grosso, Brazil, and was selected specifically to compose a study of case. For this purpose the study deals with general data about the life, the customs and the religiosity of this ethnic group. The survey will provide a short outlook on religion and on the sacred Bororo s ritual and mainly on the description of these rituals and their respective forms of dance taking into consideration, also, the centrality of the body through the study of clothing, ornaments, paintings and other marks of provisory or permanent character / Na história da religião, nem sempre a dança foi considerada elemento de expressão do sagrado. O objetivo dessa pesquisa é compreender a importância da dança nos rituais sagrados de uma cultura indígena. O povo Bororo, sociedade indígena encontrada em Mato Grosso, foi selecionado especificamente para compor o estudo de caso. Assim, são abordados dados gerais sobre a vida, os costumes e a religiosidade dessa etnia. O estudo mostra breve panorama da religião e do ritual sagrado Bororo e, principalmente, descreve esses rituais e suas respectivas danças. Foi realizada ainda uma investigação sobre a centralidade do corpo nessa cultura por meio do estudo da indumentária, ornamentos, pinturas e marcas de caráter provisório ou permanente.
