Key Components in a Networked Data Acquisition System

Corry, Diarmuid 10 1900 (has links)
ITC/USA 2008 Conference Proceedings / The Forty-Fourth Annual International Telemetering Conference and Technical Exhibition / October 27-30, 2008 / Town and Country Resort & Convention Center, San Diego, California / With the growing interest in networked data acquisition there has been a lot of focus on networked data acquisition systems. However, the requirements of a flight test instrumentation system go beyond networked DAU's. For example, a FTI network fabric has particular requirements for switches, time grandmasters, recorders, data servers and network terminals to the ground. This paper discusses these components and how they inter-operate in a single, fully networked system and discusses some FTI oriented requirements for same. Where relevant, we discuss the results of some experiments with network latencies; packet losses etc. and discuss some enhancements that can contribute to improved efficiency for flight test programs.

Vyhodnocení vlastností mobilních sítí na základě dlouhodobých měření / Evaluating the performance of mobile networks based on long-term measurements

Rehák, Ondrej January 2020 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to choose the proper measurement system for evaluating the performance of the LTE mobile networks based on long-term measurements. The thesis describes mobile network LTE, its architecture and introducts the Quality of Service in the LTE. In the next part are studied the known measurement methods and furthermore, there is proposed a solution in the form of long-term measurement. This measurement uses the mobile phone application Open-RMBT, which stores the measurement results into the database on the chosen server. The following part focuses on the issue of choosing a suitable mobile device for the measurement, then it describes a pilot testing and the followed run of the long-term measurements. In the last part is introduced the interractive application to plot graphs. Measurement results are discussed in the conclusion.

Mobilaus įrenginio ir serverio duomenų sinchronizacijos galimybių tyrimas esant nepastoviam interneto ryšiui / Feasibility study of mobile device and server data synchronization with limited internet connection

Miliauskas, Evaldas 24 August 2009 (has links)
Distributed applications are modeled around replicating copies of the same data on many hosts in a network for a variety of reasons. For one, system designers can alleviate the single-server implosion problem and instead distribute client requests for data across many hosting servers. Second, making data locally available on a host speeds up applications because the applications do not block for network input/output as data is transmitted. In this work we have analyzed several data access architectures: 1. Always offline 2. Always online 3. Mixed architecture Also we have described technical implementation details, problems which occur developing synchronization algorithms and mandatory information which is needed for these algorithms to work correctly (ID handling, change detection, fast/slow synchronization etc.). Furthermore, we investigated existing system architecture and defined mandatory changes needed for incorporating synchronization process into system functionality. Finally, we did detail analysis of mixed data access architecture, which included real world appliance, pros and cons. After that we created a model using complex systems formalization aggregation method which was based on these architecture principles. Also we did models parameter analysis in experimental part.

Development and Evaluation of a Modular Multi-Sensor System for Comprehensive Water Quality Analysis / Utveckling och Utvärdering av ett Modulärt Multisensor System för Omfattande Analys av Vattenkvalitet

Daryaweesh, Arghad, Daryaweesh, Dani January 2024 (has links)
This study addresses the challenges faced by industries requiring precise water quality monitoring by developing and evaluating a modular multi-sensor system. Existing solutions often lack scalability and flexibility, necessitating multiple devices for comprehensive analysis. The methodology employed a recursive prototype development approach, integrating various hardware and software components, including microcontrollers and a user-friendly mobile application. The prototype facilitated real-time data acquisition and management through a dedicated server, supporting essential water quality parameters such as pH, temperature, and conductivity. Results indicate that the system significantly enhances measurement accuracy and operational efficiency. However, the implementation of a smart home connectivity standard was unsuccessful, highlighting the complexities associated with integrating new communication protocols. Despite this, the system offers a scalable, cost-effective solution for continuous water quality monitoring, presenting significant improvements over existing technologies in terms of flexibility, user engagement, and data reliability.
