Product Information Management - bohatství ukryté v datech o produktu / Product Information Management - the fortune hidden in product data

Bort, Tomáš January 2008 (has links)
The exceeding supply over demand and very hard competitive conditions are nowadays the main features of the majority of sectors. A successful company is the one that is able to satisfy specific customers' needs, the one that has efficient cooperation with its suppliers throughout the whole supply chain and also the one that is able to speed up the in-house information exchange. Thus the company has to seek constantly new and innovative solutions. This is not possible without standardization and automatization of business processes. This master's thesis is dedicated to one of the possible solutions -- the Product Information Management (PIM). Since it is intended for business managers (without deep IT knowledge), at the beginning it answers the question why it is so important to know master data and to manage it. It specializes in managing product data, brings its comprehensive overview and identifies the advantages and drawbacks of the implementation as well as financial and organizational impacts. The consecutive chapter deals with simplified yet applicable approach to data management analysis (with emphasis on the PIM) and based on research, it mentions main mistakes of the implementation. In addition to the overview of main vendors of the PIM solution, it presents the latest trends in the PIM. Besides internal data synchronization, the thesis analyses several product standards -- the fundamental step towards external data synchronization, the key topic of the practical part. The whole thesis is conceived to provide an organization with a simple yet compact and therefore very effective tool for master product data insight and thus to help it to gain a competitive advantage.

The Design of a Synchronized Wireless Biomedical Measurement System / Konstruktion av ett synkroniserat trådlöst biomedicinskt mätsystem

Gulda, Max, Jesper, Sjöberg January 2024 (has links)
This thesis presents the design, implementation, and validation of a synchronized wireless biomedical measurement system, specifically developed for research in Cardiac-Locomotor Coupling (CLC). By integrating EMG and ECG sensors in combination with inertial measurements, the system enables the simultaneous recording and analysis of physiological and biomechanical data. The adoption of a 433 MHz radio communication protocol ensures reliable synchronization across multiple sensor nodes. Results demonstrate the system’s effectiveness in providing accurate, synchronized data essential for enhancing understanding of CLC and its implications on athletic performance and rehabilitation of patients with heart deficiencies. This project addresses the lack of an integrated, wireless system capable of efficiently synchronizing biomedical measurements, such as heart rate, body movement, and blood pressure, thus facilitating advanced research into CLC.

Informační systém realitní kanceláře / Information System for Estate Agency

Dudík, Michal January 2008 (has links)
This work deals with the requirements analysis of the online content management system of real estate agency. The aim of the work is to suggest and implement this system. The emphasis is mainly on the possibility of data synchronization with Czech real estate servers. On the basis of the appreciation of several different methods used for the data exchange there are illustrated their benefits and disadvantages. Ascertained matter will be used for the proposal of the method of synchronization among real estate systems. System is built by using PHP 5 and MySQL, XML, XSLT, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML-RPC technologies.

Schranz, Christoph, Mayr, Sebastian 14 October 2022 (has links)
With the use of sensor data from multiple sources, the need for synchronization of the resulting measurement series often arises. A standard method for this is cross-correlation, but this requires matching timestamps and is sensitive to outliers. This paper therefore presents an alternative algorithm for the synchronization of event-based time series data.
