__________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This dissertation presents the intertextual relations in Rubem Fonseca works, specifically the link that they have with the cinema, whose more evident reference are the cinematographic adaptations. Two of these films are analyzed: Lúcia McCartney, uma garota de program (Davi Neves, 1971) and High Art (Walter Salles, 1991). The adaptations are analyzed through the study of how Literature and Cinema mix with each other, of the theories of adaptations that consider the fidelity to the original text a minor necessity and that conceive them as an intertextual reading of preexisting texts, and of the cinematographic and literary style that more influenced these works: noir. The films are considered as readings made of Fonseca texts, which in turn also possess previous bonds, by filmmakers.
