No presente trabalho, discorremos sobre os processos de investigação, elaboração e execução de uma Oficina de Capacitação para Professores de Matemática, na área da deficiência visual, da qual participaram onze docentes da rede pública da cidade de Rio Grande, RS. Apresentamos, na Oficina, os diferentes recursos pedagógicos e tecnológicos, que visam a facilitar os processos de ensino/aprendizagem da matemática para portadores de deficiência visual. Analisamos o papel do profissional da sala de recursos multifuncionais e, além disso, discutimos as adaptações realizadas em algumas questões que contemplam os conhecimentos geométricos aplicadas nas Olimpíadas Brasileiras de Matemática das Escolas Públicas. Observamos como as referidas questões são descritas e apresentadas aos alunos deficientes visuais. Utilizamos como metodologia da pesquisa o Estudo de Caso e o referencial teórico é baseado, principalmente, nas ideias desenvolvidas nos estudos de Vigotski com portadores de deficiência. A pesquisa revela a fragilidade do sistema diante do processo de ensino/aprendizagem da matemática para portadores de deficiência visual, no que se refere à capacitação docente e aos recursos didáticos. / In this work, we will talk about the processes of investigation, elaboration, and execution of a Training Workshop for Mathematics Teachers, in the area of visual deficit, where twelve teachers from Public Schools participated in the city of Rio Grande, RS. We presented, in the Workshop, the different pedagogical and technical resources which aim at facilitating the Mathematics teaching and learning processes for the people who are visually impaired. We analyzed the role of the professional of the room of multifunctional resources, and, besides that, we discussed the adaptations accomplished in some questions applied in the Brazilian Math Olympics of Public Schools that contemplate geometrics knowledge. We observed how those questions were described and presented to the students with visual deficit. Our research methodology was a Case Study and its theoretical reference is mainly based on the ideas developed by Vigotski with the visually impaired people. The research reveals the weakness of the system before the process of teaching/learning math with people who are visually disabled on both matters, the teacher ability to deal with the situation and the pedagogical resources.
