Following the inception of the White Paper 6 in 2001 (Department of Basic Education, 2001), selected schools in South Africa have been transformed into inclusive schools, with the aim of enrolling all learners despite their (dis)abilities. Teachers however still seem hesitant to take care of this responsibility due to a variety of reasons. Against this background, the Department of Higher Education and Training, in collaboration with the European Union has undertaken an initiative focusing on the promotion of inclusive education policy implementation and teacher training in South Africa. As part of this initiative, the University of Pretoria was tasked to develop a postgraduate qualification in visual impairment studies. My study forms part of the broader funded project of the University of Pretoria. More specifically, my study focused on the process and value (or not) when utilising Participatory Reflection and Action (PRA) for the development of a qualification. Based on the assumptions that teachers and expert stakeholders in the visual impairment community would be able to co-conceptualise an advanced diploma for teachers, 17 schools were involved, situated in five South African provinces, with 255 teacher-participants. In addition, 50 expert stakeholders in the field of visual impairment participated in this study, which adopted a participatory research approach, implemented an instrumental case study design and utilised interpretivism as paradigm. For data generation and documentation, I relied on PRA-based activities, individual interviews, observation, field notes, a reflective journal and audio-visual techniques. Following inductive thematic analysis of the data that apply to the focus of my study I identified four main themes, with the related subthemes. These themes relate to utilising PRA to access research partners’ knowledge and expertise, value for participants of being research partners in a PRA process, value for personal and professional development of the participants and recommendations for future application of the PRA process. Findings of my study indicate that it is possible and beneficial to implement PRA when conceptualising a qualification. More specifically, PRA is suitable for accessing research partners’ knowledge and expertise when developing a qualification. The diploma thesis deals with the energy audit of the civil building according to the valid legislation of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part describes photovoltaics. In the calculation section is performed an analysis energy consumption for the initial state and new state. In the last part, the energy audit itself is elaborated. Saving measures have been proposed, two variants, including the recommendations of one of them.

The vertical supporting structures are formed by concrete pillars and walls that are insulated on the above floors. The ceiling structure is made of concrete monolithic panels. The multifunctional object covers a flat single-skin roof. The project was prepared by a computer program called Autocad.

The Object will be used for trade and services and for living of a families. The object is in the shape of a rectangle. The main entrance and the driveway to the Object is at 1st ground floor level.The vertical supporting structures are formed by concrete pillars and walls with Ytong blocks that are insulated. The ceiling structure is made of concrete monolithic panels. The multifunctional object covers a pitched roof. The project was prepared by a computer program called Archicad.

The subject of this thesis is a design of new building boarding house with attic flat in Velké Karlovice. House has eight flats and house is designed for temporary accommodation, the capacity is maximum 20 guests. The object is situated on a large and almost a flat land at parcel no. 3640/1. Pension is detached building. The main entrance and arrival is oriented in the northern part of the building. Plan dimensions of the house are 9,5×15 m and 10×15 m. Vertical constructions are made of ceramic bricks of Porotherm, ceiling construction is designed using technology of Spiroll. Stairs construction is a precast element. The building is roofed by saddle roof with purlins.

The theme of the diploma thesis was the elaboration of an architectural study of a selected building from the undergraduate project of the urban design of the Kraliky Sports and Recreation Resort in the Ústí nad Orlicí district. The urban-architectural study defined a property suitable for the location of a mountain hotel, which is located in close proximity to the existing urban development south of the city and in the southwestern part of the defined location for the implementation of the sports and recreational resort Kraliky. The city's intention is to build a new hotel complex on its own property to provide maximum service for the emerging resort. The ski hotel is designed as one building with additional structures including ancillary buildings such as paved areas and roads, utilities, etc. The ski hotel is designed in an energy-passive standard, it will meet the requirements for high quality indoor environment and will minimize energy consumption for its operation. The priority of the project is a healthy indoor environment and environmental friendliness. The aim was to create a building that respects the surrounding buildings and its material solution does not protrude into the surroundings.

This diploma thesis deals with a new building indoor swimming pool in town Lanškroun about one ground floor and one above-ground floors. This thesis is focused project documentation , technical reports, reports of fire safety and fulfillment Demands of building physics . The building is designed with three swimming pools, the first pool is a long 25m, children's pool and a relaxation pool. In addition to the pool hall are also designed two steam saunas . All the supporting structures are made of reinforced concrete. Outer walls of contact thermal insulation polystyrene foam . Roof is designed like 3 waves of water like compact roof. Heat insulation in the roof is designed from foam glass. The supporting structure of the roof in the pool hall is made of wood , glued truss. The pool hall is designed glass facade.

This diploma thesis addresses is the project documentation for kindergarten. This building is situated in the region Vysočina, the town Jihlava. Kindergarten is designed for two separate classes forty-day stay children as a single storey. Vertical structures are designed ceramic fittings. The entire building is covered with a flat roof.

The intention of my thesis lies in the design of optimal cogeneration unit for the selected object. Economically evaluate the proposed options and the variant processed into a building permit.
