Considering the discourse as a reverberation of speeches preceded (FOUCAULT, 2014) and pondering about its effects, this paper proposes to analyze the meaning given to the concept of homosexuality, according to the discourse of Medicine graduation course's internal students of Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. In order to do so, the internal students were asked about the understanding which concerning to the concept of homosexuality and they were questioned about the acquired influences to compose this discourse, considering the theoretical contributions of the graduation in Medicine. Methodologically, this is a qualitative research, whose empirical data were analyzed sociologically through the theoretical reference about social constructionism and sexuality and gender's studies. The results of the research analysis point out that the medicine internal students' discourses understand homosexuality from biological and/or social causes that determine it - with emphasis on biological determinism. In addition, the influences for the composition of this discourse started, massively, from common sense and the graduation course did not contribute, directly, to the formation of these statements, since there are no discussions concerning this theme, except for the hidden curriculum. Thereby, this work throws reflections on the deficiencies present in the speech of the future doctors about the homosexuality, besides generating reflections about the curricular structure of the UFRN's Medicine course.
