Výroba pístu diskové brzdy objemovým tvářením / Bulk forming technology of piston of disk brake

The project of Master’s thesis elaborated within engineering studies of branch 23-03-T002 proposes a technology of production of disk brake piston made of low-carbon steel EN C10E. Supposed production amount is 300 000 pieces per year. With knowledge of literary study on the theme of cold steel bulk forming, three variants of production technique were proposed. The chosen one, for which the technological and energy computations were accomplished, consists of two basic forming operations. For manufacture realization was selected three-stage automatic forming machine TPD 630 (manufacturer Šmeral Brno) with nominal forming output of 6 300 kN. As a material of extruding punch, tool-steel EN X100CrMoV5-1was chosen. For extruding dies was selected high speed steel HS 6-5-2 and its shrink ring is made of high quality steel 60WCrV8. Optimalization of tool properties was performed with specialized PC software.

<p>U doktorskoj disertaciji razmatra se unapređenje konstrukcije magnetoreolo&scaron;ke disk kočnice sa ciljem povećanja vrednosti ukupnog kočnog momenta. Radi potpunog razumevanja međusobnog odnosa materijala i magnetskog polja na prvom mestu je izvr&scaron;eno utvrđivanje magnetskih svojstava materijala. Unapređenje konstrukcije je izvr&scaron;eno kroz vi&scaron;e iteracija i prototipova. Merenje vrednosti ukupnog kočnog momenta je podeljeno na merenje vi&scaron;e njegovih komponenti pri različitim vrednostima broja obrtaja i upravljačke struje namotaja.</p> / <p>In this thesis magnetorheological disk brake construction improvement is considered, with the goal to increase the overall braking torque value. For purposes of better understanding of material to magnetic field relationship, series of magnetic field testing were conducted. Construction improvement has been carried out through several iterations and different prototypes. Overall braking torque value measurements have been divided into several component measurements, utilizing different rotational speeds and coil control currents.</p>

This Diploma thesis deals with design of the drive and frame of the face and side picking unit of the Multitower storage system, and deals with their strength analysis. The first part of the thesis is the research part and deals with the picking unit´s conception, power options, drive solutions, carriage and safety elements. The thesis also deals with the solution of the wheel´s passive resistance, drive and brakes of both picking units. There are designed appropriate solutions on the basis of the results. The final part of the thesis contains the description of the picking unit structure and the strength analysis.

Self-locking Brake used in Reversible Sailboat Winches : Development of a self-locking braking system that will be used to allow sailboat winches to reverse

Sailboat winches are used to help sailors manipulate the control lines that control the position and shape of the sails. Unlike most winches sailboat winches usually only have the ability to winch in the rope, but not to reverse. To reverse the line a sailor needs to manually manipulate it, this is both inconvenient and can also be a safety hazard. This master’s thesis will focus on the development of a self-locking braking system that will be used to allow a sailboat winch to reverse. The goal of the thesis is to design a braking system that works with a modified version of the E40i winch produced by Seldén. The braking system that was developed during this thesis is made up of two main parts, a one-way mechanism and a brake. The type of one-way mechanism that was chosen was an overrunning roller clutch. For the brake a wet disk brake was chosen with an outer diameter of 50mm and an inner diameter of 28.8mm. A 3D model of the braking system has been generated and materials have been selected so that the system is ready for prototyping and physical testing.
