Entre las experiencias afectivas más fuertes y dolorosas del ser humano, está el duelo. Este es el proceso universal por el que casi todos pasaremos y que indica el momento en el que iniciamos un proceso de desprendimiento de lazos afectivos con el difunto. Nos preguntaríamos, entonces, ¿Con qué estrategias podríamos estar contando para atravesar esto? ¿Hay manera acaso de superarlo completamente y hacer que la presencia de la ausencia ya no sea molesta? Para ello, se plantea el concepto del Cyborg Tecnonecromántico, una promesa de sanación paulatina en la cual se encapsularían ideas sobre el fallecido que luego son deformadas y reinterpretadas utilizando diversos recursos internos y externos. Por ello, el trabajo de investigación en arte atraviesa cuatro capítulos en los que se tocan temas de duelo, muerte, tecnología y teoría Posthumanista. Este marco teórico se pone a disposición de una propuesta artística titulada Tecnonecromancia y Cyborg n°3, instalación compuesta de relicarios tecnológicos que distorsionan sus contenidos dentro de un contexto de práctica ritual tecnológica. Las piezas que conforman este proyecto son nueve pequeñas esculturas dispuestas sobre una mesa de acero o suspendidas, una pieza plana y translúcida central aérea, cuatro dibujos y una pieza sonora que dura casi 14 minutos. Las metodologías utilizadas fueron la investigación de gabinete, conversaciones con profesores, psicólogos, coaches ontológicos, estudiantes de medicina, una tanatóloga y personas que sufrieron la muerte de alguien cercano entre los años 2020 y 2022 quienes, en algunos casos, ofrecieron archivos de audio para la pieza sonora mencionada anteriormente. Por el ámbito plástico, se recopilaron referentes artísticos y se experimentó con diversos materiales y técnicas digitales. Asimismo, realicé anotaciones de mis propios procesos cognitivos y afectivos a lo largo de este periodo, que coincidió con la muerte de mi madre en el 2021. Finalmente, los objetivos de esta tesis son el profundizar en el tema de la muerte y el duelo para poder comprender el concepto utópico de post-duelo, y dar visibilidad al tema del duelo y la muerte, un tema tabú al que hemos tenido que enfrentarnos de manera cruda como sociedad en estos últimos años / Among the roughest and most painful affective experiences of the human being, is grieving. This is the universal process that almost all of us will go through and that indicates the moment in which we begin a process of detachment from affective ties with the deceased. We would ask ourselves, then, what strategies could we be counting on to get through this? Is there a way to get over it completely and make the presence of the absence no longer upsetting? For this, the concept of the Technonecromantic Cyborg is proposed, a promise of gradual healing in which ideas about the deceased would be encapsulated, ideas that are later deformed and reinterpreted using various internal and external resources. For this reason, the research work on art goes through four chapters in which themes of mourning, death, technology and Posthumanist theory are touched upon. This theoretical framework is used to develop an artistic proposal called Tecnonecromancia y Cyborg n°3, an installation consisting of technological reliquaries that distort their contents within a context of technological ritual practice. The art pieces that make up this project are nine small sculptures either arranged on a steel table or suspended mid-air, a flat and translucent aerial central piece, four drawings and a sound piece that lasts almost 14 minutes. The methodologies used were cabinet research, conversations with professors, psychologists, ontological coaches, medical students, a thanatologist, and people who suffered the death of someone close to them between 2020 and 2022 who, in some cases, offered audio files to the aforementioned sound piece. On the artistic side, references were compiled and various traditional/digital materials and techniques were experimented with. Likewise, I carried out annotations of my own cognitive and affective processes throughout this period, which coincided with the death of my mother in 2021. Finally, the objectives of this thesis are to delve into the subject of death and grief to be able to understand the utopian concept of postgrieving, and to give visibility to the issue of mourning and loss, a taboo subject that have had to face harshly as a society in recent years

Duelo es un proyecto muy personal, que brota de las experiencias sobre la pérdida que hemos tenido los integrantes del presente grupo. En él, buscamos hablar sobre la ausencia, la memoria, el dolor, la nostalgia, y la muerte de seres queridos. Debido al tiempo de pandemia de COVID-19, nos hemos visto más cercanos a la muerte y el riesgo constante de pérdida, como una presencia diaria y esperada; esto nos ha llevado a reflexionar sobre pérdidas cercanas y lejanas, y pensar sobre las ausencias que experimentamos en nuestras vidas, así como en la forma en que estas nos están afectando constantemente. Dicha reflexión condujo a un proceso introspectivo, en el que miramos dentro de nosotros mismos para conocernos mejor, ver qué perdimos y qué aprendimos de dichas pérdidas, y cómo trasladar todo ello al medio audiovisual. Así se plantea el Proyecto de Comunicación Audiovisual Duelo, planteado como una antología de cortometrajes documentales-experimentales, realizados cada uno por uno de los integrantes de este grupo, en el que exploramos los temas mencionados desde nuestros respectivos puntos de vista particulares, y usando lenguajes diferentes en cada película: exploramos el duelo reciente por la pérdida de un padre, el que continúa tras la pérdida de una abuela, el que es por la propia identidad que se cree olvidada, y el heredado por la muerte de alguien que no se llegó a conocer. A nivel personal, aún no hemos aprendido a vivir del todo con el duelo; pero mediante este proyecto y todo lo que conllevó realizarlo, podemos decir que- por lo menos- hemos conocido mejor nuestros propios duelos. Y tal vez, eso nos lleve a, eventualmente, aprender a convivir en paz con la ausencia, sentimiento tan universal en todos nosotros. / Duelo is a very personal project, which stems from the experiences about loss that the members of this group have had. Through it, we want to talk about absence, memory, pain, nostalgia, and the death of loved ones. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have familiarized with the experience of death and its constant risk; this has led us to reflect on near and far losses, and to think about the absences we experience in our lives, as well as how they are constantly affecting us. Such reflection turned into an introspective process, in which we looked at ourselves to see what we left and what we learned from those losses, and to figure out how to transfer all of it to the audiovisual medium. Thus, Duelo was conceived as an anthology of short documentary and experimental films, each one of them made by one of the members of this group, in which we explore the aforementioned topics from our particular points of view, and using different languages in each film: we explore the recent mourning over the loss of a father, the mourning that keeps going after the loss of a grandmother, the mourning over the own identity believed to be forgotten, and the inherited mourning over the death of someone that was not known. On a personal level, we have not yet learned to fully cope with our losses; but through this project and all that it entailed, we can say that - at least - we have come to know our own grief better. And perhaps that will lead us to, eventually, learn to live in peace with absence, a feeling so universal in all of us.

El presente estudio tuvo como propósito indagar la experiencia de duelo de adultos jóvenes que formaron un vínculo con su mascota, a través del análisis de su experiencia subjetiva. El método empleado fue la investigación de carácter cualitativo con enfoque fenomenológico. Se entrevistó a siete adultos jóvenes de Lima que habían perdido a su perro o gato en un plazo no menor a ocho meses ni mayor a dos años. Los resultados estuvieron divididos en cuatro temas: convivencia con la mascota, vínculo con la mascota, duelo ante la muerte de la mascota y percepciones sociales en el duelo a la mascota. Los hallazgos indican que el vínculo establecido con la mascota es el factor principal para determinar la intensidad del duelo, la culpa aparece como un elemento importante en este tipo de duelo y la sociedad, al restarle importancia a este tema, puede interferir en el desarrollo regular del duelo. Se plantea la necesidad de más investigaciones similares en el contexto latinoamericano para poder visibilizar este tema. / The purpose of this study was to inquire about the grief experience of young adults that had a bond with their pet, by analizing their subjective experience. The method applied on this study was the qualitative investigation with phenomenological approach. Seven young adults from Lima were interviewed all of which had lost their dog or cat in a period of no less than eight monts nor more than two years. The results were divided in 4 topics: coexistance with the pet, bond with the pet, grief following the loss of the pet and the social perception around the grieving of a pet. The findings indicate that the human-pet bond is the main factor for determining the intensity of the grief, the guilt appears as an important element in this type of grief and the society, by downplaying this issue, can interfere with the regular development of grief. It raises the need for more similar research in the Latin American context to be able to visualize this topic.

El presente trabajo de investigación se centra en los elementos textuales y audiovisuales de la obra de no ficción otros cielos, otras nubes [una historia de Papi Lucho]. En este, se exponen distintos componentes que configuran la idea principal de la intención de realizar un documental, en el que se entrelazan temas como la memoria, el duelo, la familia y la identidad. Además, se explica la motivación personal y el desarrollo de las distintas áreas que conforman el proyecto: dirección, producción, edición, sonido y fotografía, y se realiza un recorrido por los referentes y estilos que influenciaron la puesta en escena —en el que predominó la construcción de un set del Chavo del Ocho, los miembros de la familia como personajes y el uso de material de archivo tanto antiguo como nuevo—. De esta manera, con el objetivo de resignificar y transformar nuestro concepto de duelo, así como de recordar a Papi Lucho, se concibe una idea enternecedora e innovadora sobre el proceso de afrontarlo, pero, sobre todo, de generar una experiencia en donde la empatía apele de forma colectiva a todos aquellos que revisen la obra. / This research work focuses on the textual and audiovisual elements of the non-fiction work otros cielos, otras nubes [una historia de Papi Lucho] (other skies, other clouds [a story of Papi Lucho]). In it, different components that make up the main idea of the intention to make a documentary, in which themes such as memory, grief, family and identity are intertwined. It also explains the personal motivation and the development of the different areas that make up the project: direction, production, editing, sound and photography, and a review of the references and styles that influenced the staging —in which the construction of a Chavo del Ocho set, the family members as characters and the use of old and new archival material predominated—. In this way, with the aim of redefining and transforming our concept of grief, as well as remembering Papi Lucho, a touching and innovative idea is conceived about the process of facing it, but, above all, of generating an experience where empathy appeals collectively to all those who watch the work.
