Cílem diplomové práce je návrh a implementace Business Intelligence v malé firmě, jako je personální agentura zabývající se poskytováním ?TEMPORARY HELP?. Požadavky na aplikaci BI jsou koncipovány na základě metodiky Balanced Scorecard. Teoretická část: popis základních principů a nástrojů konceptů BSC a BI včetně definování jejich vzájemného vztahu a specifických nároků daných užitím v malé firmě. Praktická část: ověření získaných poznatků z teoretické části práce v personální agentuře. V rámci BSC byly definovány konkrétní strategické cíle s měřítky a stanoveny strategické akce. Vybrané strategické cíle jsou sledovány vytvořenou BI aplikací v prostředí MS SQL 2000 a MS OFFICE XP.

Because the metal enclosure with apertures is the structure of the cavity form, FDTD method belonging to full-wave analytical algorithm isn¡¦t efficient for analyzing such case. Thereby the ETL method belonging to analytical formulation provides another way to analyze it. Although the structure which it can apply to isn¡¦t as complex as that in full-wave analytical algorithm, the computing time is shorter than FDTD. In contrast, the method can¡¦t get good agreement. Thus two improved ways are introduced in this paper. One is to make the suitable structure wider and the other is to consider the higher mode original ETL method isn¡¦t included to improve the accuracy. Further these two ways make the suitable range of the method wider and the method has good practicability.

Abstract The aim of this thesis is to show how numerous organizations such as CGI Consultant attempt to introduce BI-Solutions through IT and other operational methods in order to deal with large companies, which want to make their competitive market position stronger. This aim is achieved by Gap Analyzing in the BI roadmap and available Data Warehouses based on one of the company projects which were handed over to CGI from Lithuania. The fundamentals in achieving the BI-Solutions through IT, which has built the thesis methodology by research are, data warehousing, content analytics and performance management, data movement (Extract, Transform and Load) and CGI BI methodology, business process management, TeliaSonera Maintenance Management Model (TSM3) and AM model of CGI in the high level. The part of the thesis basically requires some research and practical work on Informatica PowerCenter, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and low level details such as database tuning, DBMS tuning implementation and ETL workflows optimization.   Keywords: BI, ETL, DW, DBMS, TSM3, AM, Gap Analysing

Nos últimos anos, conceitos e tecnologias de Big Data têm sido amplamente utilizados como solução para o gerenciamento de grandes quantidades de dados em diferentes domínios. A proposta deste trabalho diz respeito `a utiliza¸c˜ao de técnicas de ETL (extração,transformação e carga) no desenvolvimento de um módulo de pré-processamento para o pareamento probabilístico de registros em bases de dados na área de Saúde Pública. A utiliza¸c˜ao da ferramenta de processamento distribuído do Spark garante o tratamento adequado para o contexto de Big Data em que esta pesquisa está inserida, gerando respostas em tempo hábil.

El presente proyecto se realizó para la Empresa GyM S.A., esta organización se dedica a la construcción de obras civiles, obras electromecánicas y edificaciones, además brinda servicios a las principales Empresas del Perú y también cuenta con proyectos fuera del país. El propósito de nuestra investigación es demostrar cómo la Inteligencia de Negocios puede dar solución a la problemática actual de la corporación que, debido a la enorme cantidad de datos que procesan los sistemas con que trabajan, actualmente no cuentan con un control ni con una manera automatizada de consolidar toda esa información. Nuestra propuesta consta de integrar los sistemas de la empresa mediante técnicas presentadas por la Inteligencia de Negocios, con el fin, de que en base a la construcción de indicadores, reportes de análisis de la información, entre otras herramientas, podamos brindar una solución que sea de apoyo para la toma de decisiones en la empresa y así la alta gerencia pueda ejecutar las medidas correctivas en caso se amerite. Nuestro análisis demostrará que la solución es sumamente rentable, con respecto al costo que implica el proceso de realizar una consolidación manual de la información mensualmente, como es requerido. Así mismo, muestra efectos positivos en la utilización de Inteligencia de Negocios para la organización, debido a la calidad y mejor control de la información.

This diploma thesis deals with building of large Data Warehouses on Microsoft SQL Server 2008 platform. First part of the thesis discuss about news in MS SQL Server 2008, which I have considered as being important for Business Intelligence area. Following chapters are focused on approach to implementation of real Data Warehouse for Customs Administration of Czech Republic on MS SQL Server 2008 basis. These parts of the thesis cover specifics of the Customs Administration of Czech Republic, current state of Data Warehouse and reasons for migrating to MS SQL Server 2008. Further the thesis describes both logical and physical architecture of proposed solution and a way of implementation Data Warehouse on MS SQL Server 2008. The main aim of the thesis is to create a list of critical success factors (CSF) of building large Data Warehouses on MS SQL Server 2008 platform. It's not only plain list CSF, but rather the best practices for MS SQL Server Data Warehouses implementation. The most significant contribution of this thesis is that it offers instruction manual for designing and implementing large Data Warehouse on MS SQL Server basis. Background for the creation of summary of CSV and recommendations were vendor's publications and especially my own experience with the product. My colleagues from company Adastra gave me an advisory opinion as well.

The present diploma thesis focuses on the subject matter of large data warehouses under the aspect of their sustainable operation and development, seeking to analyze the key factors which influence the operation of data warehouses at large businesses. The thesis is divided into three main sections, preceded by a short theoretical introduction. The first part aims at explaining and illustrating the architecture of data warehouses, with the bulk of this section being devoted to a description of the key components of data warehouse solutions as a whole, and the various available alternatives for their technical implementation. The second section familiarizes the reader with the manner in which data warehouses are managed and operated, discussing the most important operational tasks in individual sub-sections. The final section focuses on working with client tools within the ETL platform of Informatica Powercenter. This work's original contribution lies in the comparison of how the design of individual components expresses itself in the simplicity and quality of routine operations. As a matter of fact, data warehouses can only be operated as conveniently and competently as they were designed and implemented. In this thesis of mine, I primarily draw on my immediate experience and acquired knowledge from data warehouse operations at a large domestic enterprise.

The diploma thesis consists of design and steps leading to build of data warehouse in startup developing SaaS product. Theoretical information about data warehouses and business intelligence are projected into design and following process of data warehouse development mainly for marketing data. Importing process of data into a data warehouse and reporting are fully automated.

Thesis deals with the realization of complex Business Intelligence (BI) solution, which is an extension of current analytical layer of the company and also includes implementation of data warehouse, data cubes and report. The introductory part of the thesis describes theory of BI problematics, usage of data warehouse in Customer Realationship Management (CRM) and data-driven marketing. Later part describes specification of requirements, analysis of the current state of the company and own work. Microsoft tools and technologies were used for development of the solution.

This thesis follows up the creation of data warehouse on Microsoft SQL Server for analysis of measured railway vehicle transits, with provided weather data by Dark Sky service. Thesis represents full data warehouse design (by Kimball Group model) with ETL processes to secure data initialization and automatic updates. Thesis also shows two approaches to presentation layer on data warehouse, by Microsoft Excel (linked to multidimensional cube) and by Power BI.
