Estimation of economically optimal potassium rates for soybean production in Mississippi: comparing different yield response functionsAkakpo, Felix 06 August 2021 (has links) (PDF)
This study estimated soybean yield responses to K fertilizer using trials data from 18 sites in Mississippi from 2011-2016. Eight response functions were fitted, including linear, linear plateau, quadratic, quadratic-plateau, square root quadratic, spherical plateau, exponential, and exponential-plateau functions. The ratio of high responsive, low responsive, and no responsive sites to K rates is 3:3:12 respectively. The response functions led to different predicted optimal K rates, and the best response function for each site was determined by the Vuong closeness test and economic loss analysis. The predicted economically optimal K rates are 157, 73, and 0 lb/acre for high, low, and no response sites respectively, and the average optimal K rate is 55 lb/acre. Compared to the currently used regional uniform K fertilizer rate of 80 lb/acre, the response-based K rates are expected to generate soybean production gain of about $14 per acre for Mississippi soybean producers.

Stanovení výše ekonomického nájemného rodinného domu v Brně / Determining the amount of economic rent for single-family house in BrnoKubásek, Petr January 2016 (has links)
The objective of the thesis is to determine the economic rent amount for a family house located in Brno. The concept “economic rent” refers to the amount of payment that brings adequate profit to the landlord. First, all the factors are identified that compose cost rent, i.e. the rent of mere providing and maintaining a property. The main variable is represented by the reproduction value of a dwelling. For the purposes of this thesis, the reproduction value is determined using the cost method (in agreement with the evaluation regulation). Second, the capitalization rate is determined so that an adequate profit could be calculated. The following two methods are employed: the surcharge method and the method of comparison with the financial market. The thesis presents seven alternatives of an economic rent, depending on the interest rates. Lastly, the calculation of the rate of return is performed, along with a correctness test of the calculation of the economic rent amount.

Vliv provedení zateplení bytového domu na výdaje spojené s provozem této nemovitosti / The impact of executing new thermal insulation on a apartment building on the expenses associated with its operationMachová, Petra Unknown Date (has links)
The topic of the diploma thesis „The impact of executing new thermal insulation on a apartment building on the expenses associated with its operation “ is a draft and appraisal of four variants of thermal insulation of the building. The thesis deals with the assessment of the current proposal for apartment building envelopes along with proposing alternative plans with emphasis on reducing heating costs. The first section describes the types of buildings according to heating demand and a list of different variants of thermal insulation materials. The second part is devoted to a specific apartment building in the Ústí nad Labem for which there are designed in four variants of insulation. The work includes thermal assessment in original condition and the assessment of new condition modified by adding thermal insulation. Through research will bedetermined price of implementation of proposed insulation options together with the costs of operation of the apartment building. In conclusion, the diploma thesis evaluates the payback period of insulation.
