To deepen this approach we elected as its general objective understanding, from our experience, as the implementation of Pedagogical Workshops and the support of a Solidarity Network can contribute to the Development of Community neighborhood Areial and its surroundings, in the municipality of Mamanguape, Paraíba, Brazil. For this, we have three specific objectives: 1) Present the phenomenon through the record of the history of the neighborhood, the fair of the Areial and the deployment of the project Ecofeira Iande; 2) Describe on the concepts relating to the promotion of Community Development and Solidarity Network; 3) Reflect on the Community Development of the Areial through relationship learners X community. The theme is very relevant, because combined with the lack of scientific literature on this subject and, motivated by professional work developed by our site, we chose the case study, using the methodology of qualitative and subjectivist, involving the interpretation of data collected through searches, documentary and field. For tell this story, we use in some titles, the metaphor of a journey in the direction of the site through a vehicle: the Pedagogical Workshops (OPs) and its support strategy (Network of Solidarity and Support). We have as resulted, the finding that, in spite of almost 63 years of existence of the neighborhood and almost 20 years of existence of a fair public site, the current index of Community Development (IDC) the neighborhood is small, however, the project Ecofeira Iande has been collaborating with the mobilization of its residents, merchants and local institutions in favor of changes related to CommunityDevelopment, through actions aimed at improving the environment and the generation of jobs and income in the neighborhood and in its surroundings. / Esta pesquisa tem como tema as Redes Solidárias e o Desenvolvimento Comunitário. Para aprofundar tal abordagem elegemos como objetivo geral, a partir da nossa experiência, compreender como a execução de Oficinas Pedagógicas e o apoio de uma Rede Solidária podem contribuir com o Desenvolvimento Comunitário do bairro Areial e do seu entorno, no município de Mamanguape, Paraíba, Brasil. Para tanto, assumimos três objetivos específicos: 1) Apresentar o fenômeno estudado através do registro da história do bairro, da feira do Areial e da implantação do projeto Ecofeira Iandé; 2) Relacionar conceitos referentes ao fomento do Desenvolvimento Comunitário e da Rede Solidária; 3) Refletir sobre o atual Desenvolvimento Comunitário do bairro Areial através da relação aprendentes X comunidade. O tema é relevante, pois aliado a pouca literatura científica e motivado pelo trabalho profissional desenvolvido pela nossa atuação local, optamos pelo estudo de caso, utilizando a metodologia da pesquisa-ação, envolvendo a interpretação de dados coletados através de pesquisas bibliográficas, documentais e de campo, sustentada por uma lógica interna argumentativa. Para contar essa história, utilizamos em alguns títulos, a metáfora de uma viagem em direção ao local através de um veículo/diligência: as Oficinas Pedagógicas (OPs) e sua estratégia de apoio a Rede de Apoio Solidária. Temos como resultado a constatação que, apesar dos quase 63 anos de existência do bairro e quase 20 anos de existência de uma feira pública local, o índice atual de Desenvolvimento Comunitário (IDC) do bairro é pequeno, entretanto, o projeto Ecofeira Iandé vem colaborando muito com a mobilização de seus moradores, feirantes e instituições locais a favor de mudanças relacionadas ao Desenvolvimento Comunitário, através de ações que visam melhorias do meio ambiente e da geração de trabalho e renda no bairro e em seu entorno
