The goal of this thesis is to present the topic of the knowledge economy in the context of education. The criterion of assessing is the current state of knowledge economy, which is closely linked with the historical development of education. The subject of the thesis will be the comparison of the level of knowledge in all economic activities. The thesis will, inter alia, look on the knowledge economy and education in the international context. Another part is the reflection on the concept of knowledge economy, the need of education. These two concepts will be put into the context of the issue of competitiveness and the state organization. One part of the thesis will focus on using the Knowledge Economy Index. Therefore, the goal will be to evaluate the impact of the knowledge economy from different angles.

This paper defines the basic concepts of waste management. With a focus on waste management of Jílové near Prague, it refers to possible shortcomings and proposes solutions along with improved overall efficiency of this activity. They were used facts and data from the city, which were then compared with current trends and one of similar cities in Germany. Marginally work deals with the awareness and interest of citizens in the municipality, using questionnaires. The solution we should provide such information to the village, which will serve to further decisions in the field of waste management and also help you keep up with current trends in comparison with waste management with a country that has over the Czech Republic in this area a considerable lead.

Neither Austrian nor Post Keynesian school is part of contemporary economic mainstream, both schools explain business cycle theory by monetary influences. This thesis examinates, through analysis of these theories, whether there are any other common elements except of the fact that both are monetary theories of business cycle. The key question author tries to answer is if we can describe these theories as substitute or complement. In last part theoretical analysis is enriched by the scale, which reflects substitution or complementary nature of the theories.

Abstrakt​: Brown et al. (2011) navrhli fundamentální podobnost mezi organismy a ekonomikami národních států založenou na rozvodných sítích nutných k fungování metabolismu/ekonomiky a omezeních z nich vyplývajících podle Metabolické teorie ekologie. Tato práce má primárně za účel prozkoumat zda tyto omezení figurují i v rámci jednotlivých sektorů ekonomiky a jejich vztahu k některým dalším makroekonomickým a demografickým ukazatelům. Abstract​: Brown et al. (2011) proposed a fundamental similarity between organisms and the economies of nation­states based on the distribution networks necessary for the functioning of the metabolism / economics and limitations arising from them according to the Metabolic theory of ecology. This work is primarily intended to investigate whether these limitations figure even within individual sectors of the economy and their relation to some other macroeconomic and demographic indicators. Tato dizertační práce se zaměřuje na problematiku koordinace strukturálních reforem v kontextu přičleňování ČR k EU. Zkoumá, zda proces koordinace reforem v EU, navržený pro ?staré? členské země je aktuální i pro ČR, jakožto ?novou? členskou zemi, která prošla procesem transformace z centrálně plánované na tržní ekonomiku. Práce vytváří všeobecný analytický rámec, který bere do úvahy nejen potenciál koordinace politik ovlivnit obsahovou stránku národních reformních strategií, ale také její potenciál vytvořit vhodné podmínky pro jejich implementaci. Uzavírá, že Lisabonská strategie koordinace reforem může přispět implementaci potřebných strukturálních reforem, ačkoliv je to podmíněno řadou faktorů.
