Title: Electronic kits in physics education Author: Michal Hnyk Department: Department of physics education Supervisor: RNDr. Peter Žilavý, Ph.D., Department of physics education Abstract: This diploma thesis named Electronic kits in physics education contains five main parts. It deals with the use of electronic kits in the physics education and references a research of literature discussing this problem in the first part. Thesis offers a brief overview of types of electronic kits, which are being used in education in schools of the Czech republic in the second part. The third fundamental part then describes the design of the prototype of kit suitable for education and documents the construction including the experience, which author acquired during the work, and technological processes. Fourth part of the work documents the piloting of the kit. The Builder's guide, which is a part of the kit and serves as a source of knowledge and suggestions for the user, is presented in the last part. Keywords: electronics, kit, education

Šiame baigiamajame darbe buvo suprojektuota ir pagaminta roboto bazė mokymams. Baigiamojo darbo tikslas – suprojektuoti bei pagaminti roboto bazę mokymams. Darbo objektas: roboto bazės mokymams projektavimas ir gaminimas. Bakalauro darbas susideda iš dviejų dalių: teorinės ir praktinės. Pirmoje darbo dalyje buvo atlikta esamos analogiškos komercinės įrangos (robotų) analizė bei robotų projektavime ir gaminime taikomų technologijų apžvalga. Praktinėje baigiamojo darbo dalyje pateiktas roboto projektavimo ir gaminimo aprašymas. Šioje dalyje taip pat buvo parašytos demonstracinės roboto veikimo principų programos. Atskirose plokštėse suprojektuotos maitinimo, variklių valdymo ir jutiklių grandinės. Darbe naudojami linijos siekimo, infraraudonųjų spindulių bei ultragarso jutikliai. Visi jutikliai buvo sėkmingai išbandyti ir, vadovaujantis šiais rezultatais, buvo rašoma programinė įranga.Suprojektuotas ir pagamintas robotas leis studentams susipažinti su pagrindiniais robototechnikos, elektrinių variklių valdymo ir jutiklių veikimo principais. Padarytas robotas negali būti laikomas galutiniu variantu. Darbe numatytos roboto tobulinimo galimybes prijungiant papildomus išorinius įrenginius. / The analysis of similar commercial equipment (robots) was conducted in the first part of the Thesis. The review of the technologies applied in the projecting and production of the robot was also presented in theoretical part. The practical part of the Thesis includes the description of the robot production and manufacture. In this part four demonstration programmes representing the principles of robot operation were written. he present robot will allow the students learning the main principles of robot technologies, control of electrical motors and operation of sensors. The produced robot shall not be considered to be complete and, thus, it presupposes the possibilities of upgrading and connection of additional peripheral equipment.

Šiame darbe sukurta automatizuota būsto apšvietimo valdymo sistema. Ji veikia, naudojant 8 bitų mikrokontrolerį. Programuojant naudojama Proccesing programavimo kalba, labai artima C/ C++ kalboms. Sistema leidžia nuotoliniu būdu įjungti/išjungti apšvietimą atskirose patalpose, automatiškai šviesą įjungia, įėjus į patalpą, kai yra tamsu, leidžia keisti apšvietimo spalvą. Ji skaičiuoja žmonių, esančių patalpoje, skaičių, todėl neišjungia šviesos, kol kambaryje yra bent vienas žmogus.Sistemą galima sėkmingai valdyti naudojant tiek interneto naršyklę, tiek specialiais mygtukais, esančiais šalia ekranėlio. / In this work the automatized house lighting system has been created. It works using the microcontroller of 8 bites. The programing language similar to C/ C++ languages is used. The system allows remotely turning on/off the illumination in separate rooms, automatically turns on the light entering the room when it is dark, and allows changing the illumination color. It also counts the number of people present in a room and in this way does not turn the lights off if there is one person inside. The system can be controlled by both the Internet browser and special buttons near the screen.

There is possible to assess the company in areas of value for customers, waste and continuous improvement through the research. Through the analysis, it is possible to find out where the organization has areas for improvement. The aim of the thesis is to propose the step to increase the level of Leanness of the organization. The thesis deals with the analysis and measurement of Leanness level of production and administrative processes in a manufacturing plant in the electronics industry.

Organic electronic biosensors are developed as suitable devices that can transform electrochemical processes within the cell membrane into an electronic signal and enable to measure electrical activity of excitable cells and tissues both in vitro and in vivo and thus represent valuable alternative to current cell monitoring methods. In this work we focus on the fabrication of electrophysiological sensors based on organic semiconductors printed by the material printing method. Microelectrode arrays (MEAs) are active components of the device, which can monitore cellular activity and above that stimulating cells with electrical pulses. The proposed platform should be used for cytotoxicity of potential drugs especially on cardiac cells (cardiomyocytes). The experimental part focus on specific production processes of platforms, which were prepared in the laboraty with emphasis on biocompatibility and conductivity of device.

Beta Source Tests of Semiconductor Detectors ITk for ATLAS Upgrade Abstract: The ATLAS experiment is due to undergo a major upgrade for the High Luminosity phase of the LHC operation. In particular, the current tracking system (ID) will be replaced by full-silicon ITk. IPNP laboratories are involved in R&D of SCT detector modules for ITk. Low-temperature β-source tests of the R0 FR 5 module prototype were the main focus of this thesis. After testing the cooling cycle, 11 threshold scans were performed on two ABC130 chips, yielding the median collected charge ranging between 2.9 ± 0.2 fC and 3.1 ± 0.2 fC for chip #6 at SNR from 16.0 ± 1.0 at 24 ◦ C to 22.7 ± 1.5 at −15 ◦ C. No trend with temperature was observed outside the error bars. The results are in accordance with previous similar measurements. Question of fitting the median collected charge in various units was adressed and equivalence of the fits was determined. The ability of IPNP laboratories to perform low-temperature β-source tests was proven.

Šis elektros inžinerijos bakalauro darbas yra aktualus, nes yra kuriami nauji laboratorinių darbu stendai galios elektronikos, kurių dar katedra neturėjo. Taip kuriant naujus mokomuosius stendus bus galima padidinti studijų kokybę, nes bus lengviau paaiškinti vykstančius sudėtingus procesus, kurie yra reikalingi gauti reikiamą valdymo dėsnį. Iki šiol panašūs laboratoriniai darbai buvo atlikinėjami programinėmis įrangomis imituojant elektrines grandines, tačiau toks mokymo būdas yra suidealizuotas, todėl nelabai atitinka tikrovę.
Buvo nutarta pagaminti du stendus, susijusius su galios elektronikos disciplinos studijomis. Tai būtų tiristorinio lyginimo tiltelio stendas ir inverterio stendas. Pradinėje gamybos stadijoje programine įranga „MULTISIM“ buvo modeliuojamos stendų atitinkamos elektrinės grandinės ir žiūrima ar rezultatai tenkina norimus gauti parametrus. Toliau sumodeliavus atitinkamas elektrines grandines, buvo braižomos elektrinės schemos, pagal kurias buvo gaminami realūs laboratoriniai stendai. Toliau pagaminti stendai buvo išbandomi ir jų rezultatai palyginami su žinomomis teorinėmis reikšmėmis.
Darbo metu buvo pagaminti minėti du stendai. Buvo išbandyta ar jie tinkamai veikia tikrinant oscilografu atitinkamų dalių elektrinės grandinės taškų signalus. Taip pat buvo sukurti stendų aprašai, pagal kuriuos studentai galios elektronikos laboratoriniuose darbuose susipažins su šių stendų įranga bei naudojimosi algoritmu. [toliau žr. visą tekstą] / The Bachelor’s work in Electrical Engineering is relevant, whereas new power electronics equipment for laboratory works were developed. So far, the department did not have such kind of equipment. Thus, developing the new, it will be possible to improve the study quality, whereas is will be easier to explain the operation of complicated processes. Herewith, similar virtual experimentation was performed using electrical circuit simulation software. However such method of teaching was idealised, therefore it did not meet the reality very much.
It was intended to develop two different laboratory equipment sets in relation with the requirements of the Power Electronics course. These include SCR control and voltage inverter modules. In the initial stage, the respective electrical circuits were simulated using “MULTISIM”. Further, the real electrical circuits were designed, made and tested. The simulation and real systems analysis results were in good agreement.
The descriptions of the equipment were prepared, which can be used for the laboratory practice. The students will have to perform respective tasks and measurements and familiarise themselves with the principles of power electronic circuit operation.
Conclusions:
The equipment testing results were in conformity with the theory, therefore they are operating appropriately.
Students will be able to obtain appropriate knowledge concerning power electronics devices in the real environment.

Parengtas bakalauro baigiamasis darbas yra susijęs su galios elektronikos įrangos kūrimu. Darbas yra parengtas taip, kad jo atskiras dalis būtų galima naudotis besimokant galios elektronikos dalyką. Studentai atskiras dalis gali studijuoti kaip papildomą teorinę medžiagą, matydami jos praktinį išpildymą. Tuo tikslu darbe yra aprašomi atskiri elektronikos sistemos komponentai (schemos, loginiai elementai ir kiti puslaidininkiai prietaisai). Ultragarsinė sistema - tai puiki priemonė nuo šunų. Atliekant elektrinius montavimo darbus lauko sąlygomis, tikrinant elektros komponentus gyvenamuosiuose būstuose ar mėgstantiems pabėgioti miškeliuose, kuriuose gausu nepririštų šunų, ši sistema tikrai veiksminga. Sistema kompaktiška, telpa kišenėje ar prisisegant prie diržo. Veikimo principas - paspaudus mygtuką skleidžiamas ultragarsas, kurio negirdi žmogus, bet kuris labai nepatinka šunims. Pakanka nukreipti į gyvūną ir jis nubėga lyg įgeltas. Veiksmingiausiais 4-5 metrų atstumu. Nauja mokomoji įranga brangiai kainuoja, todėl siekiama sukurti ir išbandyti sistemą mokymo tikslams, kuri būtų suderinta su galios elektronikos dalyko mokymo programa. Darbe aprašomi schemos komponentai ir parametrų parinkimas, siekiant juos tarpusavyje suderinti ir užtikrinti jų tinkamą veikimą. / There are many different situations in which ultrasonic devices can be used by different people in different situations. People who might benefit from having an ultrasonic system in particular are:
• Field service electrical engineers.
• Inspectors of electrical installations.
• People with an excessive fear of dogs.
• Joggers.
• Bicyclists.
• Dog trainers.
The system produces a high frequency sound only audible to dogs but not to humans, so using the device will not bother other people. The ultrasonic device will stop unwanted dogs from approaching you at approximately up to 15 feet, helping you to stop a fierce looking dog from getting close to you. The electronic device can be used not just to keep dogs away but also to train them.
Post men who sometimes have to deal with dogs in and around homes. This type of device was originally used when training dogs but as the technology developed, it could also be used to scare dogs off if needed. When the device sounds the high frequency tone it will keeps dogs away at a distance of up to 15 feet.
The ultrasonic system must never be used for any longer than absolutely necessary and should only be used for a second. The high tones are uncomfortable to an animal and as the idea is to chase the dog away, only short tones are effective.
