Reläskyddsförslag till flygplatser och sjukhus : Reläskyddsförslag till flygplatser och sjukhus där driftsäkerhet är viktig / Relay Protection for Airports and Hospitals : Relay Protection for Airports and Hospitals where Operational Safety is Important

Hallström, Viktor January 2019 (has links)

Efficient Garbage Collection System

Hassankhan Mokri, Aria January 2019 (has links)
It has been for decades since invention and use of automation has become important and popular to achieve economic and technical advantages in almost all aspects of operations and productions. Integration of communication with the automation has provided many additional and practical applications in a wide spectrum of industries and the everyday life of the people. This IoT project is implemented as a thesis project for BS program for “Electrical Engineering with Emphasis on Data Telecommunication” in Blekinge Tekniska Högskola, Karlskrona at Cybercom Group AB, Stockholm. The project is aiming at design and implementation of an efficient garbage collection system with the help of real-time communication, IoT techniques, sensors, and a number of computer software. The efficiency which is targeted in this project is meant to reducing environmental pollution (including toxic materials and sound pollution) manpower, operational cost, usage of urban roads and traffic grid, and increasing of overall efficiency by increasing employee’s and roads safety, use of existing installation, speed of garbage collection activities, and overall profitability for the operators. The goal is achieved by design and implementation of an intelligent system which despatches garbage collection trucks to the job only when it is the exact time when the capacity of the garbage cans is efficiently utilized, hence, saving endowments and increasing profitability. The project consists of four major parts • Design and implementation of the controller system hardware. • Design and implementation of the controller software. • Design and implementation of the user interface software. • Design and implementation of the integrated mechanical system.

Mekanisk dimensionering av enkelstolpar i naturvuxet trä : Vid kraftledningsberedning med konstruktionsspänning upp till 52kV enligt EBR

Rosén, Vilhelm January 2019 (has links)
This study has been carried out to investigate the possibility of creating a calculation model for performing mechanical dimensioning of power line poles. The model is based on parts of the material that is included in the electricity grid industry guidelines, mainly the publication K32:18 Mekanisk Dimensionering and material from Energiföretagen’s education EBR - Mekanisk Dimensionering. The calculation model has been created in MATLAB and can carry out the dimensioning of four types of pole constructions and visualize the calculated power line by plotting poles, conductor and associated ground profile. The model has been tested for two fictitious power lines and then verified against an existing software that has been anonymized in this report. The result comparison shows that the created model largely achieves the same results as the existing software. The comparison gives an indication that the calculations carried out are reliable and that the model can be used to carry out dimensioning for the types of pole constructions it supports.

THE EFFECT OF EDDY CURRENT ON THE MAGNETIC INDUCTANCE OF SYNCHRONOUS MACHINE WITH LARGE POLES

Hariharan, Venkataraman January 2019 (has links)
The project deals with both experimental and simulation analysis of the synchronous machine. The effect of Eddy currents on the impedance is verified experimentally. A core set-up is designed and analysed for the influence of Eddy current in the system. The set-up is altered to reduce the effect of Eddy current and to validate the effect of it on the magnetic inductance.

Suitability of a virtual commissioning model for energy optimization of a gantry robot

Flores Ramos, Bruno, Urnieta Ormazabal, Mikel January 2019 (has links)
Manufacturing production systems are increasingly forced to join the path of sustainability regarding their typical room for improvement in terms of clean technology and energy usage. However, implementing these eco-friendly measures on facilities is a double-edged sword since the results are not usually guaranteed and could end up being extra energy wastages. Even though nowadays it is usually made for sequence fixing and training tasks, virtual commissioning comes alternatively into action showing up to test energy optimization attempts preventing the premature execution issues that could happen. This project has developed a VC model of a gantry crane system from a Volvo operation including energy consumption monitoring, aiming to test its suitability on energy optimization tasks. The development has been accomplished following the design and creation methodology through the use of Matlab, Codesys and Simumatik 3D and quantitative results are given specifically from different energy modeling drafts until reaching the closest result to the real system consumption. Once the true to reality model was developed, the optimization test was carried out decreasing the maximum velocity of the system behavior to see the energy consumption variation. This constitutes the ultimate test and its results are discussed coming into the conclusion that the VC model is suitable for energy optimization of the treated operation but would require reconfigurations for aggressive velocity changes.

Automation of refilling station in clean room

Sollie, Vincent, Malmström, Johannes January 2019 (has links)
This thesis aims to confirm a proof of concept on how to get a robot to pick up a plastic bag containing 3500 plastic caps, cut it open and pour the content, all within a restricted Clean room. The work was executed in an agile way with several ongoing iterative processes in parallel. In the present production line, refilling caps are done manually. For those working in the production line, this task entails heavy lifting and the concern of keeping an eye out for when to refill and how many caps there are in the production line all the time. The result is a working prototype of a robot tool, consisting of a combined clamp and vaccum bag gripper and a self standing linear unit with a blade mounted to it. When tested, this proved to be a functioning solution to the task in hand. The gripper is designed to be mounted on a six axis industrial robot and the blade is placed inside a robot cell. Simulations show that the task is easily done fast enough to supply 5 production lines, producing in full speed, with caps. Solely this unit will not contribute much to a production line if implemented in a factory, since it does not take material flow into consideration. It can merely be seen as a part of a bigger automation chain.

Savonius wind turbine innovation integrated in a constructed nano grid system

Andersson, Oskar January 2019 (has links)
A nanogrid system for supplying neutrino detectors on Antarctica with electricity is designed and built. The nanogrid system could later on be implemented in various configurations where suppling electricity to neutrino detectors is one area of use. The energy system that is acting on site in Antarctica is based around solar panels to provide power to the measuring equipment. However, providing electricity in such a way is not optimal due to its failure in delivering electricity at times. A nanogrid that can stand the demands of constant energy supply to the measurement station are therefore constructed. The energy sources that are integrated into the nanogrid are an innovation in vertical axis wind turbine and photovoltaics. The wind turbine innovation is tested under real conditions for the first time. In the constructed nanogrid, there are also integrated energy storage consisting of battery cells that are coupled together to a coherent unit. Measurement equipment is also implemented for analyzation of acting wind turbine as well as different types of safety equipment for redundancy in the system. In the nanogrid, a rectifier for AC to DC transformation is constructed. An inverter for DC to AC transformation is also implemented for supplying electricity to the equipment that are acting on the grid. The system is tested under real conditions. The whole system could observe partially function and configurated well to the various parts of the whole system. Further optimisation of some parts of the system from the prototype is needed.
