As amostras foram caracterizadas por difração de raios-X (DRX), microscopia eletrônica de transmissão (MET), espectroscopia Raman, espectroscopia Mössbauer e medidas de magnetização. Os dados de DRX das amostras funcionalizadas confirmaram a presença das fases cristalográficas da ferrita de cobalto e da prata. Os Resultados referentes à caracterização por DRX, espectroscopias Raman e Mössbauer sugerem que íons de prata provenientes do processo de funcionalização são incorporados intersticialmente na estrutura cristalina das nanopartículas de CoFe2O4. A redução do campo coercivo bem como a redução da temperatura de bloqueio sugere que o processo de funcionalização com prata reduz a interação entre as nanopartículas de ferrita de cobalto das amostras funcionalizadas. / In this work, it was investigated the efficiency of the functionalization of cobalt ferrite (CoFe2O4) nanoparticles with silver, following two different chemical coprecipitation routes in alkaline medium. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Raman spectroscopy, Mössbauer spectroscopy and magnetization measurements. The XRD data from the functionalized samples confirmed the presence of cobalt and silver ferrite crystalline phases. The results concerning the characterization by XRD, Raman and Mössbauer spectroscopies suggests that silver ions from the functionalization process are incorporated interstitially in CoFe2O4 nanoparticles’ crystal structure. The reduction in the coercive field as well as the reduction of the blocking temperature suggests that the functionalization process with silver reduces the interaction between cobalt ferrite nanoparticles and functionalized samples.
