This diploma thesis analyzes the system of remuneration in a chosen company. It focused on the incentives for desired performance, the merit pay and employee benefits. The theoretical part is mainly focused on the forms of reward and motivation. The practical part, based on the theoretical knowledge, analyzes the current state of pay in a chosen company. Finally, it analyzed the pay system compared with the theoretical findings and results of the survey. Following such recommendations are proposed, which should help to improve the current system of remuneration.

The employee benefit committee of the specific industry, to its planning employee benefit measure, should look over the mechanism; understand its affiliated staff's satisfaction to the current employee benefit measure, and whether staff's demand for the employee benefit measure and current employee benefit measure are different to some extent. This research is mainly directed against the leading brand K Company of manufacturing industry of domestic motorcycle, the affiliated committee's planning employee benefit measure of industrial benefit, the staff do in order to study in the measure demand of the employee benefit different from to some extent in satisfactioning. This research offers the staff of a measure of the benefit as the research object with the affiliated employee benefit committee of case company. The main purpose of this research is as follows: 1. Do not change the staff of one with demography, is it different to some extent that to the measure satisfaction of the employee benefit? 2. Does the benefit have looks relation to link up the type and employee benefit measure satisfaction? 3. Demand project to the benefit measure of affiliated staff of employee benefit committee of case company, different to some extent with measure projects of the current employee benefit? The main research conclusion is as follows: 1. Different demographic parameters will influence the measure satisfaction of the employee benefit. 2. It will influence the measure satisfaction of the employee benefit that different benefit link up the type. 3. The measure demand of employee benefit and employee benefit measure satisfaction are related.

Employee benefits in the Czech Republic are a part of Human Resources Management developing dynamically. Companies begin to realize they should not treat their employees just as factors of production, but rather as partners they can cooperate with to achieve their goals. First part of this thesis deals with a theoretical analysis of employee benefits, describes the situation in the Czech Republic along with few examples of employee benefits packages offered by companies operating within the Czech Republic. It also focuses on Google - today's No. 1 company in employee benefits. Second part contains description of employee benefits in attorneys at law offices coupled with proposal of employee benefits package for a small attorneys at law office in Prague. It also contains some suggestions of actions to be made in order to remedy unsatisfactory situation in the company.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the tax effects of various forms of remuneration, with a focus on employee benefits. The thesis is structured into three chapters. In the first chapter there is a definition of labor law relationship, it's participants, rewards and demands that are placed on them. An extensive part describes employee benefits, it's legislative regulation, classification and trends in this area. The second chapter describes taxation of income from employment and compulsory contributions to social and health insurance systems. There is also a description of tax and contribution liability of employee benefits. The third chapter attends to the description of employee benefits in ČSOB Pojišťovna, a.s. and analyses the impact of replacement these employee benefits with monetary income by employees with different level and structure of total gross income. This replacement reduces the total net income by all employees and the specific impact depends on the factors that affect the tax burden. It is influenced by various structural elements of tax or insurance and the rations of income to which they are applied (ie exemption or taxation).

Employee Perceptions of the Use of Corporate Fitness Programs in Recruitment

This study investigated how employees perceived corporate fitness programs as benefits, how fitness programs were ranked with other selected employee benefits and if they would be considered in future career opportunities. A questionnaire was given to employees from five companies with and five companies without fitness programs. The 452 Ss were subdivided into the two sub-groups of employees with and without company fitness programs, and high and low adherers to physical activity. Data were analyzed by Chi- Square and proportional differences. Fitness programs were considered to be significantly important benefits; high/low adherers responses were significant. In N rank ordering of eight selected benefits, fitness programs ranked seventh; high/low adherers had significant rankings of fitness programs; employees with and without fitness programs had significant rankings of sick leave time/pay. The N did not consider fitness programs as significant future recruitment tools; there were significant differences from responses of high/low adherers. Some companies did not emphasize fitness programs as important benefits to employees.

The theoretical part of this master's thesis defines the term employee benefits, their development, trends, structure and meaning. This part also deals with employee benefits in terms of tax legislation. The practical part describes insurance company Kooperativa pojišťovna, a.s., Vienna Insurance Group and then analyses the system of employee benefits in this company. This company is leading insurance company in the Czech Republic and important Czech employer. The company devotes to human resources area relevant attention and spends considerable resources on employee stabilisation. One part of this master's thesis is also research of employee satisfaction with employee benefits which company offers to them. Evaluation of this research is completed by suggestions of recognized defects.
